Canon PowerShot SX620 HS
It talks about exfat in the manual (licensed by Microsoft). I assume it will most likely cope with fat32 and maybe ntfs but as I've mentioned I would find it useful to get the humax reading exfat rather than reformat the memory stick (that's last resort).
Thanks
Rodp
It's how the memory card came, in the camera. I'm a little unsure if it will read an NTFS formatted card. More difficult to copy all the stuff off it at the moment, reformat and then copy back on.
I'll give the dd if=... and cat.. thing a try tonight and feedback.
Just one thought. This SC card is 64Gb. I am just wondering if I am hitting a limit or sorts. I don't have anything smaller at hand to test just at the moment. Have other people just installed the extension and it's worked...
Hmm, I think this line might have appeared before I plugged in the USB as when I plug it in and then unplug it again, no other lines appear
177 1002:25/09/2022 18:34:43: sdb: Non-removable disk, skipping package scan.
A little more investigation. I have a USB hub which has different memory...
So I don't need to compile (still trying to work out the process if that's the case)? should it just work?
I've rebooted the humax, no USB plugged in (well... except the virtual one) and below is the info.
humax# ls -ld /sys/block/sd...
aha! no I didn't do that. Ok, I've done that now and rebooted but it's still not showing up when you press media and change storage to USB. I've also looked on webif media and gone to drive1 but it's still not showing up. When I try a fat32 card it works fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rodp
Hi All,
I've got an SD card formatted to exfat. Is there a way for the HDR Fox T2 Humax with custom firmware, to read it? It's from a digital camera so would be nice to simply be able to plug it in to see the pics.
Thanks
Rodp
Doh! posted this in the FOXSAT.... how do I move this thread?
ok, so I'll delete the DLNA database then run fixdisk and then reinstall the two packages and see what happens. I'll do them one at a time.
Running fixdisk now - just wnat to check that e2fsck 1.42.13 (17-May-2015) is the latest version in use?
Are there any other logs that I can review to...
Hi All,
I just updated a couple of the packages (Sweeper 2.2.5-2 and Undelete 1.6-6). There was a beta package for sqlite but I didn't update that one - perhaps I should have?) but I'm now getting this error which after a short while then reboots the humax. The HDMI connection is now playing...
ok, renaming the old config files, uninstalling and reinstalling seemed to fix the issue. thanks for the advice. I'm now working out how to ensure my username settop only has access to Media2 (media/My Music). Currently it seems to be accessing My Video which I don't want.
Thanks
Rodp
Thanks for that - that sorted it out. It seemes to have brought over a symbolic (?) folder I setup in the old config file (I setup one called Media2, leaving Media alone). I can confirm I had to create a new user (I did settop) with a password. I'm now able to control access to folders...
HI All, just coming back on this - I installed the beta version but it when connecting to it from windows or android (eg VLC or x-plore) it still thinks it's Samba 1. After reviewing the last 4 pages I'm left not really sure if I need to do anything in prep or after installing it. Please could...

re webif so the unshrunk file is here
and this is the result:
so it looks like no problems.
Will I need to wait for another example to come through to help with this?
Thanks

The box had crashed again today when I came to do the test (no messages - again suspect mp4 files somewhere - rather annoying!)
Anyway - I power cycled it and found that my son had already watched and deleted said program so I moved it back to the normal folder from the [deleted items] folder...
I'll give this a go but was just asking if it was imminently going to be moved to non-beta. If not, that's fine, I'll test out. If I need to go back I assume it's as simply as uninstalling it via the packages section of webif and reinstalling the original samba package?
Would be great to have...
