      Thanks prpr - I have just tried that and both tuners are showing the same results I reported above (ie 50-70% strength and 100% quality) so presumably that means both tuners are working. Can you think of anything else might be causing this problem ?

      Yes - not exactly the same times on two channels, but I often overlap two recordings as I said above and before they always recorded fine, but now, the 2nd won't start till the first has finished - implying only one tuner is operational.

      Yes, when there is any overlap, the second recording doesn't start till the first one has finished. On looking back, I find this has been going on for a couple of weeks or more ! But I can't find any reference to how to check if one tuner is down.

I have recently put a QNAP NAS (which is Gigabit fast) on my system and also upgraded my modem/router to a TP Link Archer D7 gigabit with gigabit switches in the two rooms...

It doesn't fire up - there's definite melting of certain components visible inside it - but it may be that the front panel...

      Hi - thanks for those comments, even though they are a bit worrying ! The unit is normally on 24/7 these days and the problem seems to occur occasionally when rebooting after scheduling new programmes using the WebIF. I now always check both the Schedule and the EPG after the reboot to see...
