Cannot install webif on my hd machine. I've tried twice after re-installing the base 1.02.28. Looking at the log (below) it mentions HDR not HD, but I'm sure I've got the right file and I've installed it on another HD and it worked fine.

Is there a guide for setting fixed IPs (I presume there is an option in the internet settings)? I know I'll need to pick some ones higher than my router will allocate dynamically
There is nothing in the hosts file on my PC, so it must be the Samba that is making it work for the HDR.
So....basically I need to give both boxes fixed IP addresses really don't I? Then I can add into the hosts file as above
I've set my HDR to have a hostname of HUMAXHDR.
I can ping this fine from a pc. However on my HD box if I ping HUMAXHDR it just returns a default IP (same as if I ping THISDOESNTEXIST). Why is that?
Also, I've tried to set the HD to have a hostname of HUMAXHD1, but despite the command prompt...
Fantastic. That works. For some reason the HD thinks everything is encrpyted. Just manually decrypted a file and it plays fine. Thought I had auto-decrypt on the HDR so will have to look into that.
Will have a play and look into putting the auto mount on
So I'm stuck then? I cannot map the HDR drive to the HD
humaxhd1# mount -t cifs //192.168.1.18/media /media/gary
mount: mounting \\192.168.1.18\mediaon /media/gary failed: Invalid argument
The HDR is 192.168.1.18
From the HD....
PING 192.168.1.18 (192.168.1.18): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.1.18: seq=0 ttl=64 time=1.455 ms
humaxhd1# mount -t cifs //192.168.1.18/media /media/gary
mount: mounting \\192.168.1.18\mediaon /media/gary failed: Invalid argument
Also as...
I'm struggling to get auto-mount to work, so I've tried it from command prompt on the HD and get this :
mkdir /media/gary
humaxhd1# mount -t cifs //humaxhdr/media /media/gary
mount: mounting \\67.215.65.132\media on /media/gary failed: Invalid argument
Any ideas?
I have //humaxhdr/media...
How do I get this to work (access HDR from HD as though it was the HDR)? Do I just install the custom software on the HD? Or is there more to it than that?
I have exactly the same problem with ITV4 and Film4. Other devices even on the same aerial wire have no problem. It seems to be just the Humax that cannot get these channels. Very annoying. Any ideas gratefully recieved (please note that most the the above thread went over my head!)
Too strong a signal? I've swapped over so that instead of going panasonic->humax->tv, it now goes humax->panasonic->tv and that seems to have fixed both problems. Thanks
Strange problem, had my HDR-T2 for a while now and running the cusotmised software. I've noticed that my TV cannot get any BBC channels when the HDR is powered on (gets no signal), it is fine when the HDR is off though. Any thoughts of do I need to return it under warranty?
