      Yes it may do - How are you connecting the boxes together? I was assuming that like me you have ripped up all your floors and laid down loads of cat6 cable around your house :) SMB file transfer has loads more header data in it than DLAN does so to transmit x amount of data you actually use...

Obviously there is a lot of overheads required to translate the file into SMB packages, transmit them accross the network, and then convert them back into a usable format.       To confirm I have the same issue with Sky Player - this may well me because Sky have removed the ondemand options for licensing issues until it is fully realeased after they ahve realised we have 'hacked' into it.       Thanks for the reply. I was just thinking of a way of making the custom portal a 'replacement' for the humax one instead of an add on. Im now using Sky player all the time as I don't have multi room as it costs a bomb :) I'll have a look at making some changes myslef

Well that won't be too hard :) The entire program is staticly compliled so there are not even libs we can change, so we would have to start by first working out what language it was writen in (which will not be that hard) but then decompiling it...
