There's no problem with Decrypt if you are viewing through the DNLA system, it all gets complicated (for me) when I wanted to use the full functions of the remote and therefore had to go down the route of samba, fts, cifs, quick pass me a paper bag, I'm having flashbacks.
Seriously...
I have (I think) now set up the unencrypt to run at night.
I've noticed there was wake up function in the [ModSettings] so I have put in my MAC address of my HDR and set wakeUp=on, Is there any other steps I need to take to make this function work?
Using the
Decrypt
Web-If MAIN >> BROWSE MEDIA FILES >> (Select Single File) >> OPT+ >> Decrypt
method has now made the programs viewable. :)
I was under the illusion that auto-unprotect along with unencrypt carried this decryption function on the fly and that's why I could watch recordings...
I access the HDR1 via HDR2 by the remote: Media – blue button – USB - humaxmainhdr
By going through the blue button, is that not using the DNLA route? For example when I press Media the HDR shows up as an attached device and can be accessed directly.
Whilst I would like to be able to view and have the transport control using this method, I am quite happy to use the DNLA server to watch recorded programs. But I always like to stretch the parameters to get the last ounce of use from a product.
Both boxes (HDR and HD) are Webif 0.9.5-2 Custom FW 2.10 for Humax FW 1.02.27
HDR is wired network and HD is wireless. I have (just to eliminate) had them both on wired but it made no difference.
Ahem, I may have jumped the gun somewhat. Last night when I thought the scrambled content issue was sorted, I was in fact watching the last streamed item on the BBC iplayer which was also a program I had set to record. The 70s on BBC2. I was going to watch another recorded program tonight and it...
xyz321. You sir, are a genius. I removed the network-shares-automount from my HDR. Did a full reboot, manually removed the [modSettings] file and voila! I can now watch recordings with full control on my HD.
Thanks also to jsrobo for sharing his log files so the problem could be diagnosed...
That's the strange part. I can still watch the programs on the HDR, I can still watch using DNLA and I can still watch them on my PC using XBMC. The message only shows when trying to use the network shares auto-mount.
I am absolutely stumped at The program is scrambled or unavailable. message that keeps appearing when I try to view a program from the HDR. The strange things is if I press i on the remote I can see the program information etc.
Yes they do, and I can access them though the Network DNLA system. I have tried various combinations of apps, I am thinking there may be one I've missed that I need to install on either the HDR (server) or HD (client).
I have uninstalled samba & cifs from the HD. Unfortunately I still get the message The program is scrambled or unavailable.
Is there a check list to see if I have all the apps installed that I need?
Auto-unprotect and unencrypt installed on HDR and content sharing enabled. They have been installed before the latest updates. DNLA server still works ok. ie can view recordings on HD from HDR.
