Hmmph! I unplugged the power plug and the SATA connector for the HDD and still no signal. Boot-up appeared normal gave the Ststem Starting, followed by Custem FW 3.13 and then nothing for a few seconds followed by WIZARD. No video output at all either during boot-up or once WIZARD appears...
I, too, have this problem on my HDR T2.
From time to time over several years I had No Sgnal problems on HDMI which were usually solved by a hard disk check and repair in maintenance mode. I fitted a different 1Tb disk which cured the problem for ages. Returning from a month away (with no...
Thanks very much for your very clear responses - it seems that I was worrying about nothing and it was just that the "auto-copy" process copied the Housekeeping files in the housekeeping partitions into the recordings partition - which seems very strange. It was the presence of housekeeping...
Sorry if I have posted in the wrong forum - it seemed the right place as I am using custom firmware. Perhaps administrator can move the thread?
Yes - Disk 1, Disk 2, Disk 3 was mentioned somewhere on th eForum or in the Wiki, including the contents thereof and particularly Disk 2 for recordings...
Fourth line of above is misleading - I have a number of folders with copies of what is in Drives 1 & 3 on the old disk (and possibly also already on the new disk in similar drives) and which include one with the epg data.
Thanks fo rth equick response
When I connected the usb caddy and selected it there was a copy option on the TV screen _ cannot remember the details but when I selected the copy option i then had to choose between music, vdeo and photo. I selected video an dthen had the option of manual copy or...
This must be an old chestnut but I cannot find a previous relevant thread.
I have just put a 1Tb disk in my HDR FoxT2. Everything went swimmingly and on turning the Humax on I got an immediate invitation to format the disk which I accepted. I had previously formatted the disk (which was from...
Ah! I thought they were the same thing! Now I have typed fixpkg in the selection field and - BINGO!
Sorry to have been thick - I am still a newcomer to all this, even in my mid 70's!
I have tried several times to run "fix flash packages" but can only get the following response
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"

I have been updating some of the packages (and installing new packages) after having updated to CFW 3.10.
Every time I update or install a package I seem to need to reboot the Humax (HDR Fox T2) before I can do another. It seems that network connectivity (wired) drops out until the box is...
Almost a week now and just one isolated glitch! My first attempt to play back a new recording seemed fine but after about 10 minutes the picture flickered and then I got 4 identical pictures with green borders. Once I had realised that this was not a transmission gimmick I switched the Human off...
Thanks for that - I saw all the diagnostic packages but they meant nothing to me. Are they described in the WiKi? I am a total beginner in Linux so don't meddle in things I don't understand - not at my advanced age of 74, anyway!
It is certainly looks as though it was the Hard Disk. This morning I switched on and instead of going into a loop the front panel showed WIZARD.
Before doing anything else I used the web interface and have copied all the log files and run the General diagnostic.
The general diagnostic gave...
Thanks for the help, Monty.
sda2 finished, having fixed innumerable inode problems but, sadly, after the machine rebooted it was back in the reboot loop. I get START SYSTEM followed by the CFW Version on the front panel, Humax splash screen, then a green screen which goes black and front panel...
I have had various problems recently with my HDR Fox T2 - glitches on HDMI output mainly. After changing HDMI cable I plucked up courage and installed CFW 3.03 which seemed to solve the problems. However, the day after "the cure" the unit developed a crash reboot loop. I followed the advice on...
Just back from holiday to find we hsve had another power cut and Humax is sick again. This time I have no output on HDMI (white screen) but still OK via analogue scart and dvd recorder. However, on startup I hsd several spontaneous restarts after Humax initial screen showing loader version...
No - not tried. Late last night I did another factory reset, retune and chsnnel edit. I am not holding my breath but tonight I did not get loss of sound.
I am now wondering whether a mains spike occurred while we were away for a couple of weeks in July causing a software glitch that was only...
Thanks for quick response.
Without pulling Humax out to check - Scart from Humax to DVD recorder and Scart from DVD recorder to TV. As it will be several days before I can get to the pound shop I have tried another factory reset. Have not tested yet because it worked fine on HDMI but that proves...
