Ok dok.
As I said I have no experience with homeplug configuration but to try and rule them in or out of the problem I would try one or both (if possible) of the following tests :-
a) Try connecting a laptop/PC to the internet via the same homeplug that the humax is using and/or
b) try...
A few points/questions which might help to clarify the situation :-
First an (apparent) inconsistency - In post #14 you say the assigned IP address is x.x.1.20 but in post #17 you quote it as x.x.1.21. Is this just a typo or are you confusing 2 different devices/ connections?
Is the MAC...
Just a point of interest which probably has no bearing at all on your problem but my series-linked recording of F1 yesterday did not happen at all. I assume this is down to the fact that here it was broadcast at 3pm on BBC2 Scotland due to the League cup final being live on BBC1. I believe this...
Been watching this thread with interest but haven't had a chance to re-tune my one and only T2 yet.
Re the above quote - the info for my transmitter (Blackhill) on ukfree.tv states that BBC4HD is on the new COM7 mux but BBC3HD is alongside the existing HD services on PSB3. I don't know if that's...
I notice the OP lists two DVB-T2 muxes which, presumably, indicates a recent re-tune to pick up COM7. Could that be a factor? Is the beginning of this problem coincident with the retune?
A few things to be aware of from personal experience :-
The usb ports on the Humax can be 'inconsistent'. My edimax dongle wasn't recognised at all by the port on the front but the back one is quite happy with it.
Depending on the placement of your kit it may be necessary to use a usb extender...
Haven't had much chance to watch TV lately but I can definitely say that the main qualifying and race broadcasts for the Korean F1 recorded fine using AR. Both have been watched end-to-end without issue. :)
In the 'yellow button menu' if you highlight the reservation and press the right-arrow button it should show you the additional series recordings that are currently in the EPG. So, for something as regular as Corrie you should see additional episodes.
Getting back on-topic, I think there is a point being missed here that merits explanation for less technically-aware members. The OP appears to be surprised/frustrated that when he switches between ethernet and wireless his IP address etc is lost - but that is to be expected.
It's a...
Honest answer is I don't know but I can give it a try when I'm at home. Generally the Humax is around 10-12 most of the time - maybe up to 15 for a music channel. Taking it down to 4-6 only happens if I'm watching something noisy after SWMBO has gone to bed. Don't think I've experienced the...
I too have exactly the problem that Amped is describing. My setup is HDR Fox-T2--HDMI->Samsung TV--Optical out->Samsung Soundbar amp.
It happens frequently in lots (but not all) programs (DOI on Sunday evening being a good recent example).
I previously had a 9200T connected by SCART to the...
If you read all the way to the end you'll find that I used the great advice available on this forum to rescue all my recordings and then had the box replaced under warranty by Richer Sounds on 14 Jan. Since then the new box has performed perfectly (which is more than I can say for myself :( )...
I also had this problem and it got increasingly worse. Eventually worked out that it was the tuner in
the Humax that was slowly failing. Have a read at this thread :-

Sorry it's not more cheerful news
Oops - just realised that I had forgotten to complete this thread.
Everything is working just fine with the new box - wifi problem was down to a bit of digital dyslexia on my part entering the password.
Should've gone to specsavers!!!
So, got all my recordings (300GB) off successfully, exchanged T2, setup no problem, copied all the recordings back on and a host of random overnight recordings succeeded (including waking from standby) :) Thanks again for all help received.
Interestingly the new box came with 1.02.29...
Unit being returned to Richer Sounds, Glasgow on 14 Jan 2013 as tuner is frequently failing to detect signal on awaking from stand-by - resulting in missed recordings.
Serial No :- 63710543900645
Model Name :- HDR-FOX T2 1TB
Software Version :- FHTCP 1.02.27

Quick update.
BH - your suggestion for formatting the HDD worked - recordings all successfully backed up - Thanks!
Replacement unit reserved with Richer Sounds and will be exchanged tomorrow.
Just going to post details of returned unit on appropriate thread now.
Thanks to everybody for all...
Good point!
I've got a GParted boot disk kicking around at home. If your menu suggestion doesn't work I'll use that to format the HDD to ext3 and give it a shot once more.
Thanks BH - I never looked there.
I did, however, press the blue storage button that you get to via the OPT+ menu and it only showed my internal HDD and 'network' (which showed up my laptop). Possibly didn't show up there because it wasn't correctly formatted - but, then again, neither is my...
Hmm - I'm probably being dense here but how do I do that if it doesn't see it in the first place.
Do I need to power it off and on with the HDD attached?
