I did also try the media server on an HDR-1800T and that works too. My problem with that box is that I have to switch off the firewall to be able to FTP files to it from my Linux Mint boxes.
The built-in media server does work with my Roberts Stream 217 quite well with MP3 files (recorded by another Fox T2 and also M4A files downloaded from BBC Sounds and converted to MP3 using Audacity). I have tried with my Stream 202 but that is not clever enough to sort the files in the right...
Only that the HDR Foxsat seems to have a separate Music/Photo partition so there would be a capacity limit but as the Fox T2 Music & Photos are folders under /media then it shouldn't have any limits.
Since the demise of my Windows 7 box that I used as a media server for my Roberts Stream internet radio I have been trying out the media server on one of my HDR Fox T2s.
I have a couple of questions:
1. How often does the DLNA server run to index the contents of the disk?
2. Are there any...
Are the TV codes etc different for an ADB remote? I tried to set one for my Sony TV using a 3-digit code I know works. Since seeing your question the one for which the code works is an MDB model;.
Later: Answered my own question by trying 4-digit codes from my Foxsat manual for the RM-F01...
FTP'd a foldersworth into My Photo folder no problem. Stepped into to folder a scrolled up and down the list. Hit enter and it goes into 'Slideshow' mode which can be paused and then stepped through in full screen. Not sure of any size limitations yet as these were older photos (<1MB)...
Hi Folks
Anyone know what happened with Silent Witness last night? Both my Fox T2 and Foxsat failed to record although the EPG was still showing it at 9pm. EPG still shows episode 6 for tonight which is pointless if 5 hasn't been shown.
Something to do with what's happening with BoJo?
Maybe it stopped at the end of the 'next' programme. I didn't wait for it but stopped the recording at about 18:55. We are in the 'Snooker' zone so I wasn't that surprised when it happened.
As Trev once said, "It's only telly".
Re: Richard Osman's House of Games - runaway recording
I think this may have been broadcaster induced as both my machines that were recording this AND my Dad's HDR-2000 were still recording at about 18:55 when I spotted it.
As per BH: Pressing 'Stop and OK' stopped the recording.
BH - Did you install the ntpclient package?
Reason I ask is that I thought it was a good idea and installed it on all my machines. Today I found they haven't cleared the completed tasks from the queue since 5th/6th March (setting is for 5 days).
I have removed NTP Client from some of my...
I've installed the ntpclient on my T2 that does radio recordings with padding.
Later: Padded recordings now start/finish within 1/2 seconds of the schedule time with padding
Thanks for the info BH. I was just curious as to what the Humax was up to.
Incidentally a similar variation happens with my 2 Foxsats, i.e. one will start up a short while before the other, so I guess that is also down to the variation between their RTCs too.
I've been meaning to ask this question for ages so here goes:
Is there a way to find out what time the Humax thinks it is? The display on the front only shows "hh:mm" but can the CFW give me it to "hh:mm:ss" or more?
The reason I ask is that I've noticed that each of my machines wakes up at...
