      DvrOnTime can save either format. As I understand it, Foxes utilise the M2TS format to facilitate variable speed playback. When a TS file is played by a Fox, spooling is barred, although jumping still works.

      Yeah, I use it with DvrOnTime. It ignores M2TS files, so stick to TS.

      Yeah, that would be me while watching late at night.:rolleyes: We are not short on tuners, so let's use two. Tuner usage is only higher during the few minutes of padding overlap.

      Yes, rebooted after regedit. I am reluctant to go to Win8, but maybe I can trial it on one machine. There will now be a looong pause while I upgrade the Mac Mini and BootCamp. Meanwhile, thank you for going over the top in trying to resolve my problem. It is much appreciated.
