What's the easiest way to edit youtube-dl.conf? I just tried editing /etc/youtube-dl.conf using vi but the filesystem was readonly so I couldn't save my changes- Ian Manning

Hmmm...probably a bit extravagant for my meagre 4G data allowance. I have a 100MB Virgin Media connection. The Humax is uplinked to my main switch (in another room) via a secondary switch. Everything is gigabit speed. Is there a network speed/reliability test utility for the Humax?- Ian Manning

Thanks for confirming that there's no problem with the iPlayer feed itself. I've tried it quite a few times, which probably explains why the log starts in the middle of an attempt (the previous log would have been archived). The machine definitely wasn't going to sleep during the last attempt...- Ian Manning

Thanks for pointing that out - I've now managed to install the beta Samba 3 package. Sadly it hasn't resolved the problem, though. I also have NFS services enabled on my Windows PC, but that isn't helping either. ???- Ian Manning

I've been hunting around for the beta Samba 3 package. I have v2.0.5 of the auto-update package installed, but I don't see the opkg-beta package which provides access to beta packages. Have I been reading obsolete instructions? Edit: I already have SMB1 enabled in Windows 10, but I guess...- Ian Manning

Can't access Humax SMB share after Windows 10 update
Following a Windows 10 update I am no longer able to access the video folder on my HDR-Fox T2 from my PC. File Explorer simply doesn't connect. Directory Opus gives a message saying that the share "requires the obsolete SMB1 protocol, which is unsafe...". Any ideas how I can work around this?- Ian Manning

HDR-Fox T2 not responding to remote - fine after reboot
In the last week my HDR-Fox T2 has stopped responding to remote control operations a few times - either from the IR remote or the CF web UI remote. A hard reboot resolves the problem. Does this sound like a familiar problem?- Ian Manning
