You can keep the LNB but will then have the same limitations in terms of concurrent recordings.
Going Unicable you can exploit the box's Full Band Capture (FBC), which should allow for up to 16 concurrent recordings.
I would consider something like the VU+ Ultimo 4K and purchase a Unicable LNB, which in theory is 4K-ready and it would give you up to 16 simultaneously recordings (in theory):

I have no experience with this box so I don't know how stable it is and how easy it...
I have never tried to record in non-Freesat more so my comments are generic.
0.ts is the cyclic buffer for live recording that always runs, this is the one that enables you to pause a live program. This cannot be played on anything. This file builds up to something like 18GB, then stays on that...
By powering them off do you mean that they actually don't have any power at all or that they are in standby? If in standby, they should wake up at 03:00 for the housekeeping boot which updates the EPG.
You could consider leaving them in standby and install my new Remote Scheduling package (rs)...
I'm running out of suggestions. Just to verify, you're saying that you did 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3, yet the channel database that the box re-created didn't have any default channels?
You can export and import the recordings, just make sure you move the files as binary files. I assume CFW 4.1.3...
For all users that weren't part of the beta program
A few users aren't seeing the EPG on the RS server. This appears to be owing to your box's channel database being corrupted. I've extended the RemoteScheduling Plug-in Settings such that you can debug yourselves and fix accordingly based on...
Thank you Black Hole, the CFW actually rebuilds /opt/epg/channels.db if not found on the next boot. It appears that it takes two boots before WebIf Channel Editor works, perhaps because the channel database is out of sync with the .fcl file(s).
However, this way any custom settings (channel...
At least one user of the new Remote Scheduling package has an issue with the channel database (/opt/epg/channels.db) - TBL_SVC_DEFAULT is empty, whereas TBL_SVC is not.
What's the best approach to completely rebuild it? A re-tune hasn't fixed the issue.
Would it work to rebuild TBL_SVC_DEFAULT...
I need some help from the gurus for the best approach towards fixing a corrupted channels database, I'll create a separate thread and let you know the result.
Have a nice weekend.
Thank you. The channel database appears to be completely messed up, TBL_SVC_DEFAULT is empty.
As you've suggested before (but I thought it wouldn't help) I think at this point it's best to do a re-tune. Then reboot, wait 10 min. and run the following to verify whether that fixed the issue...
Thank you. At some point, the box appears to have been tuned to non-Freesat channels. If you don't use them, you can remove them by running the following:
sqlite3 /opt/epg/channels.db "delete from tbl_svc_default where freesat = 0;"
sqlite3 /opt/epg/channels.db "delete from tbl_svc where freesat...
Thanks, I can see that you have 16+124+24+472 = 636 non-Freesat channels, are you actually using those on the box? They won't be exposed through RS as the box doesn't have any EPG for them.
However, RS should still work on a box with non-Freesat channels so I'll look into taking this into...
