The last one around our way was beside a village pond, and was planted up as you say. Unfortunately it got demolished by a car that failed to take the bend in the road.
My experience with serving database systems is that such access to change database entries is tightly controlled and restricted to specific staff, and the way the PO case is being portrayed by those who saw data being changed is that this wasn't the case for this database. This also seems to...
There have been some cases that have already gone to appeal where the Judge has claimed that the evidence doesn't support the claim that they were prosecuted due to deficiencies in the Horizon system, and the original prosecution has been allowed to stand. However I would be very wary of saying...
Surely the QR code is more easily forged than the rest of the stamp ...
I suspect that the sale value of the stamp is embedded in the code, and at a suitable time some scanning equipment will check the value of stamps against the weight and size of an item and reject any items that don't have...
I get the impression the adverts get inserted on the fly if you don't pay for the data stream. I believe youtube operates the same way, so when you work out how to download the core data stream it comes without adverts.
I have audio dropouts on play back, and I think it is only on PBS recordings. I never watch PBS live.
I don't recall it happening on recordings from other channels.

Mine was actually a 1300GT, I think they were jazzied up for the Californian market, but I had mine in New Zealand. It had all the cheap things done to the engine to get an extra 10BHP over a standard 1300 along with some clip on trim on the bodywork. I did a 'port and polish' to the head, and...
I didn't normally need to use a handbrake for a hill start unless it was particularly steep.
Clutch and foot brake depressed, when time to go there is enough time for foot to get from brake to accelerator and get some revs on before the car moves then lift clutch smoothly and move off.
But...
Which is presumably to use the handbrake while stopped. This must be one of the most ignored 'road rules'. This is presumably why some new cars are getting handbrakes that automatically release when you try to accelerate.
I remember a story told to me by a colleague who was stopped third in...
I had the clutch thrust bearing fail on my Austin 1300. I got quite good at starting the motor while in 1st gear, and changing up and down without the clutch for a while (IIRC it happened close to Christmas, and doing anything about service at that time of year was hopeless).
