  No, that didn't work, but thanks. My head must be in the bin today. I downloaded the CF 1.03.12 / 3.13 extracted to USB and followed the procedure. After inserting the USB it just sticks on the HUMAX logo on TV. Can't get it to go any further. Tried both sockets but I'm still on CF 3.10. Does...

  I mentioned this thread to a family member who has a Manhattan recorder and, watching 'Gold', he had to change the iPlayer video settings to the on below best as the box froze twice on UHD. Didn't have any problem with colour saturation.

  Update: Using the firestick now for 10 weeks or so, it has its ups and downs. Sometimes lots of buffering, sometimes none. Tends to misbehave more on live sport e.g. Six nations, presumably due to the amount of internet traffic. We do have a stable connection with download speed fairly constant...

  Buy a firestick, works perfectly for me, it's a great piece of kit. I'm currently using it abroad with a VPN.

  I don't think this a surprise at all, nobody has to think for themselves, they have a smart phone for that. I agree with A of C in post #2, I clearly remember very basic algebra being introduced in our final year at primary school in preparation for secondary, 11/12 years of age.
