  Although I am not having any problems with my HDRs, I ran a disc diagnostic just to try it out . Do I need to worry about the rather large numbers in fields 1, 7 and 195?

  Again, along similar lines, I modified my two units about two and a half years ago,with external fans as described below. The internal fans have never needed to operate since and the temperature never exceeds 20 degrees above ambient...

  I am sorry that you had difficulty understanding my comments. I was indicating that my experience, unlike the OP, was that AR behaved as expected, with the exception that the end was a little earlier than usual.

  My AR recording of Lewis (on Winter Hill) started at 21.03 just before the sponsor's ad and ended at 22.02 a few frames before the end of the credits. This is unusual as the recordings usually end well into the next set of adverts.

  Back in the day when I had to work for a living, I used to prepare what I thought of as Compliance Statements, as the engineering response to customer's Requirement Specifications. Our marketing department called them Compliancy Statements. I never did determine who was right!

17. Does the EPG work on HD Fox T2 boxes?
  
  All HD Fox T2 machines should show the EPG regardless of HDD or internet connection, as standard. It would be a pointless box otherwise.
