I guess Portable is the name of the USB device(s). Where do these names appear? In Settings>System>Data Storage, my single attached USB-SATA drive is shown by its volume label; in Media>Whatever>Storage, the icons show USB and Network. The output of /mod/sbin/blkid might be interesting...- /df

Problem. Have an old faulty T2 with 2TB drive. Also have a new working T2 with no HDD
You may as well use a key of all 0s, which is also more efficient to decrypt. Unless you actually want to have a hard-to-guess key, or when preparing for resale, there's no reason to use the native key. You can save all the keys used in your setup (different machines at different times) and...- /df

If the filesystem is still readable it would be good to save any precious content before proceeding. I couldn't see any sign in the Debian e2fsprogs changelog that Ted had implemented the check mentioned in the linked bug report, so it's entirely possible that the problem persists in the...- /df

Not exactly a crash, but breakage. HD Fox-T2: after filling up its 64GB SD card, TSR no longer works (as expected) the on-screen display in Settings>System>Data Storage behaves weirdly: "Format Storage" is disabled (why?) the "disk" is no longer recognised as recordable the disk stats are...- /df

Extract to MPG failure
The ffmpeg command run for Extract to MPG specifies copying both audio and video streams. I expect that it fails if there is no video stream in the .ts. Looking at a decrypted radio show, it has an audio stream and two further non-video streams.- /df

Generally, there is no re-encoding when combining video and audio streams under youtube-dl (or it would not be practical on the HD/R platform). Rather, the streams are multiplexed, frame by frame, into a single container. This works fine for 480, 540, 720 resolutions; 1080+ may cause problems...- /df

That's just the best format with both video and audio. Tell youtube-dl what quality you want and, if no suitable combined format is offered, it will try to get separate video and audio streams matching your requirements and merge them with ffmpeg. Similarly, but more so, for yt-dlp; check the -S...- /df
