6. Wifi Dongle possible solution? help needed.
  
  Reading this thread with interest. I have one of the Edimax dongles that worked fine ( with occasional dropouts), but shortly after i fitted a new HD it stopped working. I bought a new dongle and this hasnt worked either so i have been without network access since November, which is frustrating...

The BT junction box downstairs isnt working so the router is plugged in upstairs ( before anyone asks its worked for years before so its not this that's causing issues), i am going to have to piggy back a few cables somehow to connect to...

  Is it possible to do this? We sometimes record programs or films not suitable for little eyes but she is as adept at using the box as us. Once a recording is scheduled is it possible to then lock it so access is denied?? I know you can lock them once they have recorded.

  I think those killjoys at ITV have scuppered this now. They launched a lawsuit and tvcatchup no longer has a direct feed for ITV, C4, or C5 owned channels only links to their own streams.

  Has anyone noticed an increase in failed recordings recently? I have never had an issue before but the last few weeks i have had quite a few. Peter Andre, Wentworth Prison, Jamie Oliver & the F1 in Korea to name a few. I havent changed anything to lead to this increase. Surely it can't just be...

  Nightmare isnt it! However i hope you get it sorted, i did and i am a complete IT novice, the guys here guided me through a treat. On one side of things its a shame the HD does not seem to last as long as one might expect ( 2 and a bit years for me) but at least the box is such that we can...

  Hahaha i gave up in the end. I will have to move the router and connect via wire if i want to try and access webif. Annoyed i wont be able to stream recordings to my tablet any more, this was a brilliant feature.

  Yes it is. I can see the home hub in the list of networks but when i try to connect it tries for a minute or so then fails. All i can think is the security type isn't right but it always defaults to the same one. I know the password is correct
