Just any 500GB* drive, or a drive suited to PVR (rather than PC) use? If not, "successfully" remains to be seen.
* I hope you mean "GB" – 500MB is enough for about half an hour's recording time!
Be aware that even if you manage to recover the recording files, they are encrypted and only of...
In the long-running saga of my broadband, the last couple of days I've been putting up with very slow Internet, and this morning investigated.
The SpeedSmart test said 0.2Mbps!
I checked my router's stats and that said 5Mbps ADSL, so it looked like I was being throttled at the exchange...
Solved (not in the way originally envisaged).
My need was for two 2P6T MBB* switches, and I could only find 2P6T BBM* switches with gold plating. However, by cannibalising another pair of BBM switches for their wipers, I modified BBM to MBB. This was only possible because of the exact...
Obs "Two Sergeants Major and their companies..." would be correct. My guess is that the under-qualified clerk entering this stuff got "Sergeant Majors" undersquiggled as an error but didn't know how to fix it and perhaps found the apostrophe got it past the spell-checker.
I presume all...
What CF version were you on before you tried to update?
IIRC the CF firmware-updating mechanism relies on you having a reasonably up-to-date firmware installed in the first place. If rebooting your HDR-FOX gets you nowhere, you will have to resort to updating/re-installing firmware the old...
IIRC we used to get drinking glasses from petrol and crockery from washing powder. We have a kitchen wall clock (a ceramic plate with a hole in the middle, blue check pattern) which used to be mains driven until I replaced the movement with quartz, which must have come from something like that...
Switching back to Dave resulted in no crashes in the 8 minutes I was there. Now back to ITV4 again and not crashing (so far), I'll leave the HD-FOX on there fo the time being and check the crash log later.
The crash log shows the four I had today, but a long series of crashes back on June 11th...
Now I'm getting recurring crashes on ITV4 on HD-FOX, but a HDR-FOX does not seem to be affected.
This is very curious. I think it's been four reboots so far, in the 10 minutes since switching to ITV4. The rest of the morning has been no problem, BBC1 and Dave.
The amusing thing about Green Shield is that Sainsbury's turned their back on them and went for other means to foster loyalty. Once price control came off, nobody wanted to issue them and started competing on price, so the assets which serviced Green Shield (showrooms, warehousing etc) were...
I realise you're having a quip, but I mean it was in the decades where parents still had the habits of scarcity (and there were still price controls, no discounts – supermarkets competed on who could offer more Green Shield Stamps).
That's as may be, but I get absorbed in something and...
