first time I used it, it took 15 mins to actually find my hummy and another 5 mins or so to populate the vids etc . So I suggest open it and leave for a while because it'll try to cataloque your Sonos first, then it'll go and look for other devices
this happened to me a couple , of years back with the 9200. Same thing trying to delete a phantom recording, trouble is can't remember how I got out of it. I do know I left the machine off for a couple of days, maybe try that.
I have auto off 0030 and auto on 0930 but recording past 0030 machine will refuse to auto switch on in the morning . I have to manually switch the box off/on again it will then cycle and switch itself off, then you can wake it up with the remote.
I've got this problem, even emailed them with what I think causes it-no reply.
It seems if you are recording past the off time ie recording finishes at 0130 , off time set to 1230 , the box will not wake up in the morning you have to switch it on/off at the back, then 20 secs or so later switch...
Also I use a programme called " connectify " which sets your laptop up as a wireless hotspot so you can connect to it directly, providing of course, you have a wireless dongle in your hunmmy
Good question, can't say I have but recently I disabled padding as there were a lot of progs I and wanted that were back to back ie 8-9, 9-10 . I must admit AR seems to be working for me, very rarely record anything on ch 5 which seems to be the worst culprit as far as AR is concerned
I've found to avoid that and the TSR warning it's best to record the programme, wait 30 secomds and then play it back. I've missed the end of some progs using chase play most frustrating and black looks from HID !!!!!!
Does seem to be a sort of bug though
one thing positive I've noticed with 27 is it saves your favorites when you switch off . No more reinstating them each day !!
Nice to see the south having the retune problems we experienced up here in the Granada region last year. My mate still has ITV wales on his set says he prefers it to Granada
Do you have any other way of monitoring sound o/p i.e using optical or even scart audio. Reason i ask is maybe it's an HDMI thing with your Sony tv . Could be the hummys ok but not talking to the Sony or just a duff box .
Thank you Mr Black Hole had a senior moment there , That will teach me not to reply in a hurry,:) but Mighty Oak Bob using the cursor keys and ok button allows quick access to any part of your recording
I've had a similar problem on odd occasions on both hdr fox and 9200, much more frequently on 9200 often thought it was a channel based problem but never able to pin it down. Like you switching on and off cured it !!!!
Neil you seem to have a lot of stuff on your machine. Maybe you're just getting short of space. I have this problem at work a lot if the available space is below 10/15 %.
So for a 500gb machine 100gb as a buffer, I would have thought 350/360 gb of stuff absolute max.
By the way I've also...
Recently I've put quite a few Mp3's on my hummy and really like being able to o/p them through my 5.1 , it is a bit limited though. Now my old 9200 lives in another room and I've put a few mp3 on it but it does crash out a lot, think it's the album art. So what I want to know has anyone come...
For what it's worth If your signal is now ok, don't upgrade otherwise if you have to do a retune in the future you rise picking up other transmitters. Unfortunately the old Analoque signal didn't travel to well, hence repeaters all over the place, the new digital signal is much more robust hence...
In use Windows 7 wmp player all the time, streams from my pc to the hummy and streams from the hummy to the pc . Windows 7 WMP is by far the easiest to use I only use XBMC for some of the external sites
The wide screen problem is a well known quirk of the hummy. set the hummy to 4:3 and format to letterbox, this seems to work on most things.
The crashing was probably my fault, bit impatient also I'm using windows 64 bit.
quite nice to see films streamed to the hummy that in the past I've only...
