Bug: SCART output unexpectedly switches to RGB mode
I find it rather odd that you will put up with really poor video ie cvbs but not put up with inferior sound. Personally I would be more peeved at sub standard video, the Humax provides excellent pics via rgb but crap on cvbs.- brianmt

I don't know you're setup but why use CVBS anyway, quality is really poor, RGB much better option. You only get the the benefit of HD by using HDMI output- brianmt

Hummy in France
Not an Humax but I bought a cheap ~ £50 Ross satellite from B& Q mainly as a backup should freeview or my hummy die. It works perfectly and picks up all freesat HD channels as well not bad for the price - no epg though- brianmt

Just read your link, must admit the mp3 think is quite new facility for me on my Hummy so never really read your post originally. Where is the playlist function ? As a function playing Mp3's is up there with being able to play videos, my wife uses it all the time, sometimes through the amp but...- brianmt

mmmm...... I have my Mp3 on my humax as well and works well but like you would love a proper shuffle mode. Maybe these clever Linux types can intergrate a new player into the Humax.- brianmt

Had a similar problem recently, portal had been working fine then nothing after pfaffing around with setting etc still no joy. Eventually reset router hey presto, now working, try re-setting router may help. My router also has something called " client isolation" it stops wireless devices from...- brianmt

My hummy will be one this week and without a shadow of doubt ranks alongside the dishwasher as the most useful piece of equipment in our house. Switching HDR on/off
I work in broadcast tv and we very rarely switch anything off . Small elecrolytics contain acid and when they blow the leak this all over the place. Two weeks later the equipment no longer works and when you take the board out to inspect you'll find nice little "holes " where connections are...- brianmt

Don't think that dongle will work. Needs to be a based on a Rail link RT 3070 chipset such as the edimax EW 7711 unfortunately your dongle has a Realtek RTL8192C chipset- brianmt

HDR-FOX T2 Tuning Advice
It caused much confusion in the NW when Winter hill went full digital, Moel-y- parc transmitter nos in the 20's, Winter Hill in the 50's most people ended up with Welsh services when they did an automatic re-tune, took ages to sort out. I still know someone that has the wrong ITV service, says...- brianmt

I don't think it's that clever, it appears to be which ever it finds first ie lowest channel no, is given no 1- brianmt

FAT32 Long File Name Support
I know makes no sense at all but hummy will not play wma's. Also I was transferring via network not via usb, thought it strange at the time but when it all came good thought no more of it until now .....- brianmt
