     FAT32 Long File Name Support

     I also had this problem all my files were truncated, I tried to play one and it didn't play. I then noticed that some of the files were wma reloaded them all as proper mp3 and lo and behold proper length names. I now have 16gb worth of music files on my hummy even my wife thinks it's great.

     The reason I asked if it was switched to pvr was because I spent a frustrating hour with mine switched to tv. Only other thing I've noticed is the hummy remote is very sensitive to low battery. In the past I've been able to control the tv but not the hummy. Have you tried the remote from say a...

     Default Volume

     Volume solved. If I have favourite 1 set on my machine at power off when it switches back on in the morning it reverts back to TV ie I have to select favourite 1 again . More annoying than anything else. 9200 would remember you're favourite setting

     I normally set my volume to 18 ( needs to feed a deaf loop system so can't be adjusted ) and then use the tv to adjust the volume as and when needed. Trouble is when the box wakes up in the morning the volume has been reset to 3 . Anyone know how to prevent this happening. Also it doesn't...

     Wild Media server works and streams well to my Hummy for instance I can stream files from Megaupload ( google icefilms). Not easy to set up but..... I've used Liveonlinefooty.com for a couple of years now and the streaming and content is great but it ain't free £6 for a couple of months wll...

      Hardware: Using Headphones

      Have a similar problem, I have to run a loop for hearing aids and do it the same way as yourself I use the Humax because the headphone socket mutes the speakers. I think you'll find the majority of modern sets do that. It's very rare to have a separate headphone output.

      For some reason , I've never had any problems using windows 7 with my Hummy. Luck maybe, anyway just found this article explaining "How to" might be of use to someone, also a new codec pack for windows 7, which I've installed with no adverse effects...

      Media Player Classic uses K-lite codec pack and the latest codecs do not work. I use an old version 4,6 , quite old never use MPC so I've never upgraded, this version 4.6 works really well. I spent hours last week trying to get the new ones to work with no sucess at all !

      Like I've already said I have no problem streaming sd using WMP, once the video has buffered i can scroll back and fore no problem but I am using K-lite 4.6. Never use media player classic so have not updated it, however if I do update it then I've got all sorts of problems no sound,stuttering...

      Are you using windows 7 ? The reason I ask is that looks like an old version of WMP should be WMP 11. I'll post a screen grab of my wmp later
