Digital Media Server compatibility
If all your devices see your Hummy that suggests to me the network is fine. Remember the Hummy outputs .ts files and these devices must be capable of playing them. No auto switch TV input?
Can't understand why anyone would use their tv, different epg etc . Anyway came home from work " can't find my recordings " realised that tv had been switched away from the Hummy by accident. So my solution - remove aerial feed from the tv - no arial, no signal. TV now on the Hummy all the time- brianmt

Network Storage?
If it's connecting it's looking for another dnla device on your network ie laptop running windows 7. If it connects then it will show up as laptop or whatever your device is called. If you open this device it will show the folders where you have video's etc stored . If it doesn't connect you...- brianmt

New firmware available - with media server feature :)
I've always been able to use wmp without any problem. Today I installed the latest Klite codec pack to see if I could stream hd from my Humax . Quess what -Wmp stutters on sound and no video whatsoever, Restore machine to previous version and WMP now good again. So for all you people having WMP...- brianmt

Not really sure I understand Q1 but here goes, You make a favourite list using the menu channel edit . You can select this favourite list using the list button and scroll to it using < > then select it ie favourite 1. Strange ! Can you play with sound any other videos avi's or mkv's that happened to be already on your pc also maybe worth rebooting your pc. Looks like I was lucky no problems whatsoever -except can't play HD- brianmt

It's my understanding that you can't stream hd files even if you use foxy. I installed XBMC to see if that would do it and no it doesn't. I've now un-installed it even though it looks nice it give me no extra functionality over WMP also I find WMP easier to use. I know from experience that...- brianmt

Just read on another forum that someone solved their Windows 7 playback problems by installing kpack lite codecs. I've never had win7 playback problems but there again I've got kpack codecs already installed . Worth a try if WMP doesn't play :)- brianmt

Funnily enough had a network problem this morning couldn't get my android to see the Hummy, I noticed the hummy had changed its ip address, as it will every day when first switched on, so In decided to give the Hummy a static address I think 192.168.1.50 away from all the other network devices...- brianmt

I have my Humax streaming to WMP in windows 7 . Only thing I can suggest is to make sure UPNP device host is running ( control panel> administrative tools>services) also on open WMP and top right of the page there's a tab stream , on the drop down box make sure streaming options are enabled...- brianmt

Newbie looking at getting HDR-FOX t2
I'm using windows 7 on my laptop and you don't need any extra programs to view the Humax. Windows 7 has a dlna client built in it sees the Humax as another library which you just click on to open up and then select program you wish to watch , it's as simple as that . Thanks for that info. I was toying with the idea of getting a Vega now I know it works.!!! Ebuyer are selling a 10 Hanspree tablet for £169 at the moment which looks good.- brianmt

Does it matter what router I use for DLNA?
Just checked !! On slideshow between each slide there is approx 4 secs of black. Obviously there is no "next" buffer and each slide is loaded from the pc . I think a lot depends on the size of the slide file( mine are nearly 3 meg each). Anyone know how to stop the slideshow/increase the time on...- brianmt

How do you mean "play" , are you trying to use the windows 7 command " play to " because that doesn't work for me . Could be your wifi speed . How far is your router from your laptop and your Humax ? I use to find jerky playback but for other reasons I moved my router to within 5 meters of my...- brianmt

I'm using a HTC Desire and Rockplayer doesn't work, it did but now.., it seems to be a bit temperamental. I'm using vplayer and that works fine. What's good is that with windows 7 on my laptop I'm now able to stream my music straight from my laptop to my phone as well as being able to watch...- brianmt
