  Thanks. Yes I did read the posts so knew it was due to my firmware. What I could not work out is if it was a a case of that's just how it will be from now on. The solutions about deleting scheduled recordings did not work and I am reluctant to factory default it. As they are aware and working...

  Sorry but can't seem to find an answer to this. Is the slow eg a bug that is due to be fixed in a next release or is the only solution to downgrade. The wife is going nuts about it.

  It was working and playing recordings from the humax. In fact I was very pleased with it as it enabled me to catch up with recordings I made in the kitchen. It then stopped working without (I think) anything changing. However, vlc does not seem to play anything. Even a file I put on the...

  Okay suddenly had a thought and decided to check. Vlc will not play the files even though it shows them. It gives error could not download device description! Fetching data from http://192.168.1.69:49152 and then :50001 Also cannot connect to 192.168.1.69:9000 Any ideas

  Installed media tomb but stil no luck. Xmbc sees my nas drive just not the humax. Not sure what else to do.

  Is there a better way of sharing the media from the humax instead of upnp. Could I install samba on the humax and do it that way. I am using xbmc as the client if it makes a difference.

  The humax is on wifi and has the same IP address it has always had. 192.168.1.69. I set all my devices with a reservation in the dhcp on the router so that I know what they are. I can get on the webif of the humax on my machine so it must have that ipaddress.
