VLC fast forwarding
No, but it can be run on the AURA and it will give the OP lots of choice for FWD jumping etc.- Steppy

VLC fast forwarding
I use KODI to play files from the Aura downstairs to our TV upstairs via a fire stick. KODI has really good fast forward/jump features.- Steppy

Instant Replay & Skip Forward Time
I agree, just tried and get the same results with live broadcast. You either need to press the << button and press again to speed up the reverse or press > play to pause and then reverse.- Steppy

Are Channel changes automatically updated? What happens to scheduled recordings?
You can do a smart retune and it will keep any timers you had, but you can also do a backup of settings and then reimport them when you have done a full scan. I think from memory as I haven't done one for such a long time, if there is an issue with it a channel changes to a different number it...- Steppy

A little irritation
This is one of the few foibles that I have with the AURA and did mention it in the early days, but unfortunately it remains. The AURA is so fast to remote inputs I have just learned to live with it. I am sure it would would not take much to tweak it so when you go back the focus remains on...- Steppy

Aura Android rebooting often
You will not lose recordings just by deleting channels and retuning. Even when you do a reset it is pretty clear when recordings will be deleted…. I haven’t managed to delete them yet 👍. You can also back up your settings to preserve any customisation you may have done, but that will also...- Steppy

Aura Android rebooting often
I haven’t had a reboot in at least 8 months. I went through a period of daily reboots which was around the time Freeview were messing around with their frequencies and got rid of COM5. I deleted all my timers, did a reset to delete all the channels and retuned, it’s been as good as gold ever...- Steppy

Anyone managed to connect Aura to Analogue audio amp with volume control?
Yes, it works a treat. I have the remote set as bluetooth to control the TV, but as the TV HDMI goes from the Home Cinema to the TV it controls the volume. No programming, it just worked.- Steppy

There are no analogue connections on the Aura. I connect mine to my Samsung Home Cinema via HDMI and the Aura's remote controls its volume. I use the Aura remote for Aura/TV/Home Cinema- Steppy

Recordings lost after Aura Factory Reset
Same here on my Aura, I generally find this happens on part time channels like BBC Three/Four. As Black Hole says, this happens on the HDR too and has done for as long as I can remember. I have yet to have an actual failed recording on my Aura.- Steppy

How to check if fan is working
I only installed the fan control package today to see if that would get the fan running which it did and was before I ran fix-flash packages, so I think if I disabled it, I would be back to no fan again. Think with all the heat I will leave it at 50% for now and see how things go.- Steppy

Aura programme app (Android)
The App is very basic. I too would love to be able to edit the channel list and get rid of all the crud. It would be good to be able to delete recordings and timers too. I’ve stopped using it now as I often get duplicate timers when I set from the App…. It needs serious updating to make it...- Steppy

Random switching on of FVP-5000T
IF you have the media server switched (I think that's what it is) on it will start itself up at set times, but from what I remember it doesn't wake it fully i.e. blue light. I got fed up with mine constantly swtiching on so turned it off pretty quickly.- Steppy
