I think without getting an additional aerial fitted or resulting to a dish it is isnt it? I am not sure the additional expense is worth it really.- Steppy

The old one was on the roof, so with your comment above, it is the obvious reason why I am not getting all the channels I had before. I have no idea why I didn't make that correlation before and didnt realise how much difference that would make... I am satisified now that what I have got is...- Steppy

I don't think "And you wonder why it doesn't work? Really?" was aimed at the installer. There is a restrictive covenant on the property that does not allow roof top aerials so that is the reason it has to go in the loft. Do you really have to give such a brutal reply to someone with little technical knowlege who relies on a professional to do a correct install? I am asking for some simple advice to which Trev and Mike have very kindly given me some useful pointers.- Steppy

Hi Trev Thanks for the help. I am in the same SO31 post code, but have gone from 6.. to 8.. The property has aerial points in every room, but he only connected the aerial to the points we needed in 3 of our rooms. I have recently moved into a new build property and had a new aerial fitted in the roof last week, but realised I can now only get the main five HD channels. Humax 4000T chasing play, recording stops short
When you just press record part way through a programme it will record whats in the buffer and the remaining programme, but it will stop at the original end of programme time. If you want to ensure you get more of the programme in case it over runs you can press record a second time to extend...- Steppy

Delete All recordings
If you don't want to Format the drive as already suggested then you can hit the + button from within the recordings list which brings up a small sub-menu, select all, then + and delete, that will delete all you recordings in one go. Didn't make a blind bit of difference with my 4000. I tweated Humax about the issues with the 4000/5000 and they said they monitor the forums and were not aware of any issues! They wanted links to the threads, but I don't expect any miracle cures. I have written off the 4000 as every being...- Steppy

Repeated single event recordings
@Luke Maybe the reason I have never had any repeats is that I have only ever recorded them from the main 5 channels as I very rarely watch anything else :D Currently on holiday so cannot do any testing ag the moment but interesting to know.- Steppy

Repeated single event recordings
I find it much easier to just press the Record button instead of OK when viewing the Guide. If it’s a single recording like a film you will get a message at the top of the screen to say your recording has been set. If it’s a series you will then get a small pop up at the bottom of the screen...- Steppy

That's typical behaviour! Next time they are not there, delete the cookies and you will see them magically appear.- Steppy

You are right the channel logos should be in that box. It’s another annoying bug that still hasn’t been sorted. If you press the freeview play button then go along to players. Once that has loaded press up to the ‘i’ then press + you will then be able to delete the cookies. Once that had been...- Steppy
