FTP or Samba transfer leaves empty transport stream file container
This isn't a problem, this is how it works when transferring files off the Humax If you just copy the files via Samba or FTP it does not decrypt the file, so you cannot play it on a PC for example and MediaInfo shows no data as per your first picture For this method to work, you would have to...- ntm1275

I'm sorry I can't help you with your problem, but no, this is not normal My HDR will turn on/off whether something is recording or not, and I never have to use the switch on the back Perhaps someone else on here can give some indication to what the issue is- ntm1275

The problem about posting a working MKV is that the files size is normally well over 1GB in size and there is the issue of 'sharing copy-write material', which is illegal If you are prepared to take the risk and use p2p/bittorrent, then I'm sure you will eventually find one that will play, but...- ntm1275

@ykno I concur with your finding on the EBML header info I have run mkvinfo on all my working files, and non of them have the extra info, but every file that does have the extra info fails to play I have tested this on over 200 files Also agree that DTS files don't work With mkv files...- ntm1275
