Hope thats what you wanted.
I would be delighted to help in any way I can but you have to remember that I am not completely familiar with the command line options. If you or someone can post an "idiots" guide to help me then I will proceed. I was a systems engineer working on PLC systems and did basic programming on DOS...
I assume you mean the"general" diagnostics from the cf2.18 page. The general diagnostic lists everything as "pass"
I have discovered that I need to set up the wireless device every time I shut down and restart the Humax. I will probably load 1.02.32 when I have provided all the information I can.
I have checked the TV portal and do have provision for Sky Player but as I do not use the portal normaly I do not know if this is part of cf 2.18
If I can extract any information from my unit please provide instructions.
You may well be correct as I do not recollect checking the firmware after loading 2.18 and that consequence has not been mentioned (to me) before.
Perhaps others can expand on this.
Here is an interesting situation! The replacement unit which I now have came with 1.03.06. In order to inspect the serial sticker (and photograph it) to check if I had an "RE" included I turned my unit upside down having first put in standby. I have been out for the day and got back and...
The problem was that the hard drive dissapeared from the menu. Obviously none of their solutions worked but I do not know how qualified the people on the helpdesk are. They may be following a prescribed method.
There is no mention of the" Re" on the serial number label and I am running the firmware as per all the figures you have stated. My previous unit was certainly running 1.03.06 and I went from that release down to 1.01.09 and then up to 1.02.32 but I am usure of the loader number (this was under...
Is there any other way to distinguish what model of HDR-T2 1GB Humax one has apart from the existence of RE on the box. I have just had my second replacement and this was an exchange without a cardboard box (courier had a plastic box for the exchange.) My concern is for the Custom Firmware and...
Well the version I have been running on this and the previous unit both of which were 1.03.06 are obviously compatible. Customized Firmware version 2.18 for firmware 1.02.32 has been running fine since February this year. Both my units suffered hard drive problems and I did run the "Fix Disk"...
Having just received my second replacement HDR which is also running 1.03.06 is there any way of extracting the firmware. Part of the process I went through (under instruction from Humax) was to downgrade to 1.01.09 and then up to 1.02.32. This did not resolve the problem (Hard drive...
I use the standard guide but have "Digiguide" on my computers so can search up to 3 weeks ahead. It also will list films (my particular interest) with star ratings and whether it is HD or not. Very useful when on a 14 day holiday.
Congratulations! I have loaded both the latest firmware and the Custom firmware. Only one of my memory sticks worked but that was sufficient.
I have decrypted on the HDR via the computer but the HD Fox T2 only has one usb port and that has the HDD connected to it. How does one give the...
I have an HD Fox T2 as well as the HDR which is about to be exchanged. Your note about the power button is new to me and I will try it at the earliest opportunity. I obviously have not read the information available thoroughly. Many thanks for the information.
Thank you for the notes which I am aware of. I was a systems engineer working on PLC and computer control production systems so I have gone through the elimination process and still cannot load anything via memory stick onto the refurbished HD T2. I may try again when time permits as I can see...
The HD T2 is currently running 1.02.28 and as it will not seem to read my memory sticks then updating is not an option at the moment. Strange that it will read and record to the HDD.
The thought of replacing the hard drive had occurred to me even with this unit but it rather caught me out by failing more or less without notice. Systematic back up using the Custom firmware may be the answer but there does seem to be a lot of input from me to ensure the recordings I wish to...
Yes it is a 1TB unit. First unit purchased in August 2011.
It will be interesting to see what happens if this unit goes wrong having now exceeded the 2 year warranty period
