Not quite. I was messing before and you can send MPG files to the Humax, and it does play. WMV files don't work.- MrPloppy

"I don't know", is my answer, but I don't think I would like to buy another HDR for the bedroom. Is there some cheaper alternative? I wouldn't mind this set up. I do actually have a Humax telly in the bedroom, although I don't think it could be set up for networking.- MrPloppy

Update: Humax sent us the following statement to explain the absence of Sky Player: "Humax is still in the process of completing Sky Player tests, but didn't want to delay the launch of the Portal. Sky Player is expected to launch in a matter of weeks." Read more...- MrPloppy

Nice one! Like a beleaguered Egyptian president, humax says nothing despite the protests, and just like the Egyptian Army, now the beta tester have had enough. :D Brand loyalty for me = zero. I won't be buying humax when I upgrade in the future.- MrPloppy

Why is ITV's iPlayer so crap?
I do remember something about the iplayer technology being made available to itv, channel 4 and others, because it is so good, and was paid for with license payers money. That was sometime ago though... I may have to do some digging to find out more.- MrPloppy
