  Very odd, especially as it is on two separate boxes. I don't think I have seen this problem mentioned by anyone before, even with one box, let alone two. When you say it refuses to accept any recording instructions, what exactly happens when you try?

  I wonder if the "unstable tuners" suggestion relates to the fact that checking signal levels often only reveals results for one tuner, which is perfectly normal. It only shows tuners which are actually being used and the other tuners are shut down at that time.

  Yes, use the manual tune option. You will probably lose any recording schedules on the Mux you are retuning. Take a photo of all pages of your schedule first. Then you can reprogramme any schedule entries you might lose.

  Had an unusual one with my 5000T today. Tried to access a programme from earlier today on iPlayer from the Guide’s EPG and though it showed as available, nothing happened, just a blank screen. I then went into iPlayer via the “F” button, found the programme and it played OK.
