     Thanks, but I think I am past all this (too old)! What file type am I to create? Do I create it locally and upload it using ftp? I have already tried to telnet the command using 'putty', then rebooted the humax, and launched the interface but the result is as the screen dump in my previous...

      I started from scratch, reinstalled official firmware 1.02.20 installed mod firmware 1.20.02 tried launching interface: it says 'custom firmware successfully installed' When I try to download full web interface it fails as log file I uploaded in earlier post Is it stuffed!! Thanks Geoff

      Well, I did as you advised and sure enough I did manage to load the first page that said 'custom firmware downloaded'. When I tried to install the full web interface it failed. I have uploaded a screen dump if that helps you recommend where I go from here! Thanks Geoff

      How do I stream to PC?

      When I select the storage button in media on the humax I get 'hdd' or 'media tomb' options, what is the media tomb for? Is it a folder where i can put pc files to enable me to view them on humax? Thanks Geoff

      What do you mean by binary? All I know is that I can copy & paste or drag & drop mp4 files from laptop to media/my video folder no probs. I'ts just when I try to automate the process by using a scheduled transfer app like for instance 'Allway sync' that the resultant file ends up freezing the...

      I did copy across the network with FTP using 'Allwaysync' program. Can't be sure if I used binary, I will check that one. Thanks

      Yes, Humax does display 'network connected' when i apply and I am able to view and copy to the 'media/my video' folder over my network. I have downloaded the reset_1.0.0_mispel and will try it tonight. Only 1kb is that correct? Thanks geoff
