I'm having a few issues and wondered if I could explore them here. I've searched and had a read around but wanted to consolidate my own experience here and maybe get some direct advice

Yes thanks. Web interface in and a few packages too. I'm mainly interested in de-crypting HD and streaming that to other networked devices. I've been directed to xbmc previously but even with the auto unprotect now installed it appears I still need to copy using the virtual drive facility...
Spotted the HDR error. Changed the filename and all loaded successfully. Thanks both for the guidance. Just need to have a play with the packages now! Cheers
Sorry I hadn't appreciated I had to drop all the version numbering out of the name ! I will try that and hopefully will be able to report back asap on success... fingers crossed
All appears to be OK as I have dl'd it directly from here http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Firmware_Downloads unzipped.
Going to try my fifth stick now which has always been an unreliable one so I don't hold out much hope for it.
Thanks. This problems seemed to resolve itself with later pictures though the files I tried to access originally stil have the problem. The only thing I can put the issue down to is that the original files were uploaded to my home server via an eye-fi wireless sd card direct from the sony...
