Is it time to jump ship - to Aura
No, I appreciate the suggestion but don't want to try to learn coding. FoxT2 has been OK, changing HDD and transferring data, and a system flush was as deep as I want to go :-) Seems like Aura isn't the answer at the moment, I'll stick with ailing T2 for a few more months.- Sargan

Is it time to jump ship - to Aura
I have had a Fox T2 running custom firmware for many years. However it’s getting unreliable …. heading ultimately towards being a terminal case. Is this a good time to buy an Aura, should I wait for the base application update people talk about …. or is there a newer, faster Aura Mk2 due in...- Sargan

Thnx …. Probably suffering from a few age related issues. Sometimes get break up on a channel, yet same channel on TV is fine. Both devices connect to same distribution amplifier, and I have swapped over cables and ports … fault stays on PVR.- Sargan

Failed to respond
Running up to date Customer f/w Several times the unit does not start when I go to use, unresponsive to remote. Display states the boot message “Custom F/W ….” I power cycle and it works. Any specific issue, or something I can check.- Sargan

Applications not working
There was 'deleted files folder' but nothing going into it. I deleted folder. I then tried removing and reinstalling undelete still it did not appear, I run 'update all apps' and now it's there, not sure if that fixed it or its coincidental I have removed and reinstalled newk I'll see if it...- Sargan

Due to several ‘config wipes’ Carried out steps to do a system flush Then the fix-flash-packages Plus followed the Restores User settings & Factory Defaults Noticed that the ‘deleted files’ folder no longer works, and the ‘new’ from folder series name, no longer working. I realise it was my error I used underscore y mistake (used to that in naming convention in work) I don't know if it's fixed my problem yet ,,, it was wiping config every couple of weeks - so time will tell. All back and running for now.- Sargan

Installed system flush .. re-did basic settings. I logged into the CF web interface..... and first thing that greeted me was a message to run fix_flash packages ? Is this a utility or an app, I can't find anything called fix_flash to run? I have ensured boot-Settings, tunefix and...- Sargan

Never used this before, do I install as I would for custom f/w load ? Does this mean it wipes out Custom f/w and I need to reinstall that afterwards ?- Sargan

Several times lately, after working fine at shut down. Next time I press power button on remote to startup, it starts with the initial configuration screen Input language, screen format etc …. Then the option to search for channels … you can’t get past any of this, so it wipes out all recording...- Sargan

I just reinstalled this using CLI .... what does inotify-tools package do ? Tried searching forums but all I seem to get is lots on mentions to reinstall or check its installed.- Sargan

That wasn’t the case. If I made a new recording … it would not play … gave same error as trying to play old recordings.- Sargan
