Picking up from here:
Here is a typical example:
Notice the headline says the file is 5725 lines and showing only the most recent 5000 (that's normal for the WebIF Diagnostics log file viewer), but I'm only actually being shown 519 lines.
This is persistent over multiple refreshes and...
What does the team think?:
I had 3 coil packs* (out of 4) fail within about 30 miles**, had all four replaced and my car has been fine since then (the fourth was replaced as a precaution, it could have failed any time).
[ * Actually coil-on-plug, but everyone seems to call them coil packs...
I thought I had reported similar previously, but I can't find it.
Trying to watch The Day Of The Jackal on Legend, my HD-FOX repeatedly crashes and reboots every few minutes. Changing channel stops the crashing.
I have a couple of advanced rules on RS for my HDR4 to schedule recording ISIHAC (AKA 'Clue'), which show matching events, and show HDR4 is checking in, and yet the events have not been scheduled.
I've looked in rs.log, and it is full of "Error encountered, Error: 28 - Timeout was reached"...
I was watching U&Yesterday (Mendip UHF36) when the HD-FOX was due to record Strictly (Mendip UHF32), but it didn't. When I realised I manually switched over to BBC ONE and (after a short delay) it started recording, but I am a little perplexed that the AR system didn't work.
I'm getting this on a frequent basis, on a HDR-FOX and a HD-FOX, but the HD-FOX is the current case in point. I'm posting in the CF section only because CF will be involved in the process of diagnosis.
Left to its own devices over the weekend (not in standby), the unit in question recorded on...
Hey folks,
I'm looking down the barrel of having to sell up and downsize – a number of things have aligned to precipitate this.
I have a number of HDR-FOX "hulks", mostly (I believe) in stock for spare parts or investigation without obligation. If anyone believes they have a claim please...
This is a HD-FOX, and (possibly foolishly) I decided to torture it by downloading the Strictly opening show. I presume the download will be several gigabytes, so it was never a good idea in the first place (not on my broadband), although I did download the Victor Borge programme successfully...
Apparently a new channel is arriving on Freeview on Wednesday, LCN95 "Rewind TV". I guess tunefix-update will do its job!
LCN95 is currently (according to the Freeview channel listing) "TV Warehouse+1", on mux "G-MAN"... can somebody tell me what that means in terms of the mux names listed in...
While checking out the .db files for another thread, I found a problem: the WebIF >> Diagnostics >> Database Browser doesn't seem to work for /var/lib/humaxtv/channel.db on HD-FOX. I just get a blank page.
It works fine for channel.db on my HDR-FOXes, it works fine for other .db files on my...
Watching Guy Martin last night (he bodged a working jet engine out of a big turbo), I understand the principle of jet engines except for one rather important detail: why doesn't back-pressure from the combustion chamber oppose the incoming airflow?
The last scheduled recording my HD-FOX made was last Thursday, and the last auto-backup of the schedule was last Tuesday. CF still running. I rebooted and that restored the schedule.
Anything I can do to find out why? Crash log shows nothing (I didn't expect it would, as CF hasn't crashed).
