Vertical Tuner - sourcing

Decrypting and Saving Original
Hi, It was me, it is working OK For others not familiar to where manual decrypt stores the original: I first manual decrypted a single recording in "My Videos" folder and it created an "Original" folder in the same folder to store it. Last night I thought I did exactly as stated in first reply, and it worked, but as you imply, I then did further checking of info and investigated auto-processing (trying to learn more) so may well have left something set - will check later tonight and report...- Peter H

Decrypting and Saving Original
Hi, I decrypted a file yesterday via the WebIF and the Fox T2 decrypted the file created an "Original" folder and put the original ito it which is what i wanted to do. Unfortunately I cannot find how to do it again! I can encrypt but loose the original. Can somebody point me to info on how to...- Peter H

Thanks for the information. As I said in #22, I understood it would take longer and was not ignoring the obvious because it is the first time I tried to use the procedure and was obvious to me. As it is not obvious to me, in what circumstances would it be preferable to use stripts? Thanks...- Peter H

It might be easier but I understood it would take a lot longer, the recording I want to decrypt is 2 hours long so I thought I would do it on my PC.- Peter H

FYI I have /lib64 linked to /usr/lib64 In there I have libcrypto.so.3 and libcrypto.so.3.0.9, with a link from 3 to 3.0.9. This is a little towards the extent of my knowledge but i assume my fc7 is using libcrypto.so.3.0.9!? Do I need to try again using the dropbox "stripts" or does it still...- Peter H

It seems to need libcrypto but it seems thing have changed (or I am still doing something wrong). Attached are some outputs. Its opening openssl but it seems there is no libcrypto. Will have another look tomorrow but at least its running!!- Peter H

I have put a small .ts file in "Downloads folder" on my Linux box, I unzipped the stripts.zip file and have 2 unziped files in a "stripts" folder that contain, "stripts32" and "stripts64" which are both executable and read write by me. Thanks for the info. I was not sure if this was the correct forum as I was using Linux to decrypt! I had run one of these: https://hpkg.tv/misc/stripts-linux but it failed with a UTF-8 error in the first line so wrote here just in case I was not using the latest recommended method. Decryption On PC Using Linux
Hi, I want to decrypt a HD file but cannot find the latest suggested informatiom and would appreciate a link or links. I have recorded a small HD test file and downloaded it to my Fedora PC. I assume i need to remove the "enc" tag before using a script, is this correct? Thanks- Peter H

FYI the label on the base is as follows: HDR-Fox T2/GB/1TB 7104706 63710470600138 The Plastic HHD cover has a white label with 1TB on it so its conclusive to me, someone had changed it.- Peter H

Yep I did think it might be the case. FWIW, I bought the box second hand without a manual but should have downloaded it. On disassembly its labelled as a 1Tb model but fitted with a WD 500Gb!.- Peter H
