You could record to your PC and then convert using quick media converter then FTP to the hdr if you really need to get recordings across.

Handbrake will only work on unecrypted DVDs.
Even then I find you have to select the Video_TS folder and convert it to .MKV.
I then have to use TSMuxer to convert from MKV to TS and then AV2HDR to convert it to a Foxsat compatible file.

I've only just got my Foxsat, but looking through the manual there is DiSEqC switching available (although it's pretty well hidden in the manual) and I know for certain that DiSEqC motorised mounts are available.
