Thanks BH. I knew I was missing something simple because I have done this many times before, rescuing recordings from my faulty drive. This is the first time on a new drive, and I obviously haven't installed that package yet.
It’s been a while, but I’m trying to export some recordings and so far failing.
I have a 128gb flash drive, but the files won’t copy. First it said it couldn’t copy because the drive was NTFS, so I formatted the drive in exFat, then it said it couldn’t copy because there was insufficient space...
OK, I left it doing whatever it was doing all night, so I guess I'll find out now what the status is.
I also want to put a temp drive in there for now so I can test the rest of the systems stability.
Unfortunately a seem to not be able to learn from my mistakes, and have left the remote at home...
I'm confused. How can it be running when the box is no longer in maintenance mode, has be rebooted, and even power cycled multiple times. I can no longer reconnect with the session, there is no session.
Using Telnet I have the option to start a new fixdisk operation (unlike before where it only...
Which is really helpful, thanks. However, I cannot unscramble an egg. The process was ended. After 24 hours it seemed to be doing nothing more. The box is out of maintenance mode.
It really isn't. The whole process is over. The box is back up and running in normal mode now, and refuses to do...
See post 46 above. It isn't doing anything anymore. Fixdisk just refuses to run now.
Error - pending sectors but LBA not found
fix-disk: session terminated with exit status 1
OK, I think its just finished, but I'm not sure.
It says:
Running select disk self test
Checking partition tables...
MBR Status: MBR only
GPT Status: not present
Using superblock 0 on sda1
Using superblock 0 on sda2
Using superblock 0 on sda3
LBA: 272228872 is on partition /dev/sda2, start...
Quick note; The guide you (Black Hole) wrote says that using -Y will allow fixdisk to run unattended, however mine did come up with a further (Y/N) prompt. I cannot remember the exact wording, but I think it said something about a short test completed but LBA not found, so would I like to do a...
OK, so I'm trying to get it into maintenance mode. Used Telnet to initiate it, it has rebooted, but instead of "maintenance" being written on the display, it just says "wait 51".
