Sorry, Jack, I didn't test that. I just had a look and ---0 comes up on the screen - I was able to enter a "1" to replace the zero but didn't dare go any further - it soon changed itself back to zero. I've written to seller to ask if it should have the function.- clemenzina

I hope it's OK to post a link to an eBay item - I bought this a couple of weeks ago (you've reminded me I haven't done feedback yet!), it hasn't got the HUMAX name above RM-F04 but otherwise I can't tell the difference between it and the Humax original - and Opt button is definitely functional...- clemenzina

I can hardly see the media list, let alone select a particular recording to play. At the time the problem was first discovered, a red button could just be seen on a programme that was currently recording. Just for info - My box is a 2TB purchased from eBay a couple of years ago. The remote is a 3rd-party substitute, which I understand will not have all functions of the original. I have to tell you the tale... Everything went wrong in quick succession... First the Audio system, then the TV, then the Hummy* :( All in the thick of Covid-19 lockdown :eek: The audio I decided to live without, the TV was replaced with a cheapo smart one (as there are no new plasmas) and...- clemenzina

The box turned itself off after the 04:19hr period, and when I powered on via the remote control it loaded the Humax logo, brief green screen, then slowly loaded BBC Red Button page. Media loads normally, MotD2 playing normally.- clemenzina

I didn't see your post, Trev - thank you. I'm really not in a position even to get it out of its hole, let alone open it up. Am really up against it. "Normal" for this HDD is, as said, as if a fairy drummer lives there. Muffled drumming of fingers since Day1. I don't mind buying a new PVR...- clemenzina

I had been having occasional crash/reboot cycles like OldWindmill but not for a while. Tonight the box wouldn't boot. I am always busy doing something else at the same time, so don't necessarily see the sequence of events. Switched off at the back, left it for a good many minutes, switched...- clemenzina

10 decent pictures of "my own" ospreys won't be easy because the webcams are poor quality. If I come up with them I will PM you, Ezra. In the meantime - if I try out one of the existing screensavers and then remove it, will it automatically revert to the Humax one? Thank you!- clemenzina
