I actually have the HDHomeRun Quad box, I use it to watch TV on my PC. It works quite well on the Aura, except the 4K looks like 1080 and the 1080 looks like 720, but otherwise Ok, so thanks for that idea. Something I'd like to ask though, does anyone know what the password is for the FTP...- Nodeity

Yeah, they do seem to have a stranglehold on modifying this thing. If there's a positive to the Beyonwiz, it is very easy to access all the settings and adjust them to your liking. Mine's starting to play up and it doesn't like HDR, which is why I'm on the lookout for a better box. The Aura...- Nodeity

Thanks for all the help guys, it's been an expensive lesson learnt. If nothing else, it is one of the better Kodi boxes I've owned to date, still wondering if it's Arm 7 or 8 though. :)- Nodeity

I can see the broadcast info for each multiplexed channel on my Beyonwiz, but the sub channels on each multiplexed channel all have the same info. I'm not an expert on the programming of these boxes, so I wouldn't know where to look in the android sub menus for the relevant info.- Nodeity

Sorry to be late replying, long day yesterday. "Short of going through every setting in hope" Having looked at the settings, I can't see anywhere you could even change them, short of being a technical expert on programming these Android boxes, there's no logical place I can see to even access...- Nodeity

Well... As discussed in my original post, I took a chance on the Aura in Oz, and apparently lost! :cry_: There are some very weird proprietary settings on the Aura, I knew I was going to have issues with the channel search because of the Brit 8Mhz/Aus 7 Mhz issue, so obviously auto search...- Nodeity

The point is kind of moot until the box actually gets here, which may take a while, but I suspect a manual scan will be ok. I do a local manual scan all the time here, as I live in a more rural city. :)- Nodeity

"How is anyone in the UK going to be able to do that?" When I do a scan of the channels here, I get a hierarchical menu starting with the country, then the state, then the city. I was expecting a similar menu that someone could check is all.- Nodeity

"By diving in before discussing it, you've taken a gamble" I most certainly did! :) However, I think it was a gamble worth taking, given that the box "just might" be usable with the German or even manual settings. I'd say the odds are good, but you live, and you learn... ;)- Nodeity

As an aside, I should probably ask if you can swap out the HDD if it craps itself? Gonna be hard to send it back from here for repairs. Also, out of curiosity, if you can swap it out, will it accept a bigger drive? Not that I'll need it, I ordered the 2TB. I would hope, if I do a disk image and...- Nodeity

From what I could find out, the Aura uses DVB-T2 and the Beyonwiz I'm currently on is using the same. Which is why I took the chance on the Aura in the first place. I guess it will come down to how proprietary Humax has become with taking full control of the user settings. Thanks though :)- Nodeity

I think I was misinterpreted when I asked if Australia was on the list, I was asking about the channel/station scanner, not language. Is it possible someone could check their box and see if the channel scan has Australia available as an option? Or at the very least tell me if the box is able to...- Nodeity

If it doesn't work, I'll sell it on, but I'm hoping it is at the very least capable of picking up our generic EPG. I have no use for the Australian version of Freeview, it's a controversial subject here. :)- Nodeity
