It looks like unless you're a BT TV customer then that's it after March 31
A shame. I don't suppose Humax will be releasing their own app ? One of the reasons for buying the box in the first place was that I didn't want to be tied to a pay-TV contract
I cant remember where I saw the message but it said something along the lines of the YV smartphone app will be shortly discontinued ?
Is this right ?
Would be a real shame if it was as I've on occasion found it useful to be able to browse the guide and set up recordings when away from home
I'm not assuming you have the same access as me.
Read my post - I've said all along it WILL be possible at some point in the future
I live in a village that had atrocious broadband and for that reason was upgraded to fibre to the premises
It's not difficult for remote villages to get fast...
As MikeSh says, not yet. But millions of people already use iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, Netflix, Amazon and NowTV so lots of people are using it all at once. It's not lots of people each having an individual connection, multicasting makes the distribution of IPTV more efficient than you might...
It will happen eventually
Internet capacity grows all the time
I can happily watch live TV through BBC iPlayer with no buffering. This would have been fantasy 20 years ago but is normal now
So it will happen, you can be sure of that. As the internet grows and has become a ubiquitous part of life...
Update
After checking the aerial cable where it plugs into the Humax I couldn't find anything wrong.
However the problem seems to have gone away, quality is 100% again on COM7
I am not convinced I've found the fault because I cannot explain how this problem affected only a single mux, all other...
The amplifier does not have any gain adjustments
I can confirm that the right arrow does nothing and it is seemingly impossible to say which UHF channel you are tuned to, This is my main frustration with the box, the fact it's all so dumbed down. Surely there could have been some sort of...
Thanks
I'm going to try bypassing my distibution amplier at the weekend and see if that makes any difference.
All my other muxes seem to be at 95-100% signal and have no issue, it's just this one mux that has issues.
Is there any way to verify I'm tuned in to the correct UHF channels ? Cant...
I've been a long time Humax user (since the 9200 days) and currently have a D2000 PVR (YouView)
Generally OK but since the last channel re-arrangement I'm having problems with one mux
Originally Crystal Palace channels were all on Group A so my Group A aerial was, as you'd expect, fine.
However...
Interesting.
The TV is about 5 years old, a Toshiba 37WLT68 I think. I'll try another cable if it gets any worse, it's a very intermittent problem so difficult to conclusively prove what's happening.
Beginning to think the green screen isn't connected to the webif after all. Messing around last night I had one instance where the screen was green, switched the TV to another HDMI input then back again and it then worked. So it looks like I might have a HDMI sync issue, albeit very...
Possibly the green screen on the TV and no sound is due to the loss of HDMI sync.
The question really is why this is happening.
Should I expect the web interface to be responsive at all times ?
I am running the latest firmware 1.27 ? with the latest CF so am assuming my setup is no...
I've installed the custom firmware which seemed to go without incident and installed the full web interface. No extra modules or anything extra at this stage.
However I've found a couple of instances where I've tried to access the web interface from a laptop on the LAN and it either works...
