Humax to Manhattan
OK, so it HAS got YouTube, but it's pretty pants. There's no button on the remote for it, nor onscreen menu item. You have to go onto YouTube on your phone/tablet and cast to the Manhattan. After that you're OK, but it's a silly implementation IMHO. Probably some permission required or copyright...- LDW

I feel a bit of a traitor, but I’ve just bought a Manhattan T-3R. Why? The usual: the slow remote, dodgy subtitles, and flaky iPlayer. I always had access to on-demand through a cheap Now box, but it was a pain to switch from one to other. And after years indulging the Humax and its funny...- LDW

AFAICS there are no conflicts here at all, though weirdly we appear to be recording the same programme on the same channel twice. Confusing layout, too. This seems to be happening increasingly often. Have I configured something wrongly? Thank you.- LDW

iPlayer fix
I got this friendly message on my screen yesterday: Loading https://uk.humaxdigital.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2016/09/hdr_fox_t2_upgrade.hdf will presumably wipe the custom interface, so that's a no-no. But it would be nice to have iPlayer work a bit. :)- LDW

Recording conflict caused by duplicate entry
If I accidentally programme something to record via WebIf and on the box, I sometimes get a conflict message like the attached. Is there a way to prevent this - other than by not being a dummy in the first place? [Cracked self-pitying voice: I'm 82, you know....]- LDW

Undefined variable in YouTube via portal
Recent YouTube searches bring up an error message: 'Undefined variable: httpMethod'. I googled that, but none of the results were intelligible to me. I tried installing New Portal, but no joy. Is there a fix, or is it just that the Humax is outdated and times have moved on? --- As ever...- LDW

Losing the end of recordings
Forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere, and direct me to it if it has. Recent recordings have started early, or programmes have started late, meaning that the end of the recording is lost. Channels missing from rs.hpkg.tv
This is odd. When I look at the EPG for the box, it shows BBC4 HD assigned to channel 7 and BBC NEWS to channel 8. But when I look at the EPG on rs.hpkg.tv it skips straight from CHANNEL 5 (assigned to 6) to CHANNEL 4 + 1 (assigned to 13), missing out both BBC4 HD and BBC NEWS. Have I done...- LDW

Hmm. Thank you. However, you fail to plumb the depths of my idiocy. Command lines are not for me. Nice idea, but I think a nice download via PC to a usb stick and a transfer to the library will do me nicely!- LDW
