In the absence of a solution I have ordered a new Aura machine (for which I'll need a D-to-A converter to hook it up to my stereo system (I've been assured I'll get it next week...). But when I removed the cover from my 11- or 12-year-old HDR-FOX T2 I was amazed that it looked like brand new...
After the device worked more or less perfectly for over a decade, I suddenly get this message. Tried new install but no channels found. I first thought it was an aerial problem, but the TV works OK (signal feeds through the Fox T2). As it has two tuners, they presumably can't both be faulty...
Thanks, Rodders53. I've installed the CF but haven't yet tried to access it via Telnet. Under Settings I see the same software version as before (1.03.12) and nothing to indicate the presence of any new software (last update in 2014). I see the original software has a "Check HDD" option and...
I have this problem too. For a few weeks now I have been getting occasional picture and sound breakup for a few seconds (pixellation) and was wondering if my HDD is on the blink. The PVR is now 11 years old and I've been wondering whether to replace it with a new Aura machine, but I use the...
Both episodes of The Bridge recorded successfully from BBC4 HD last night (Crystal Palace, 1.02.32). I have not tried BBC3 HD or the kiddies' programmes, which I don't use, but have not had a failure with BBC4 HD for some time now, so this issue is resolved as far as I am concerned - for the...
Successfully recorded The Code of Life and Krakatoa Revealed from BBC4 HD last night. Have not had a failure for quite a few days now (Crystal Palace), so I'm keeping fingers crossed for The Bridge on Saturday.
BTW I was trying to download Foxy yesterday and was annoyed at all the garbage to be...
My HDR Fox T2 (now with firmware 1.02.32) recorded Byzantium 3 from BBC4 HD at 21:00 last night with no problems. I have not had a failure for several days now. Having said that, I have not tried recording from BBC3 HD (a bit long in the tooth for that sort of thing, perhaps :().
I now see that my firmware has updated itself to 1.02.29; I see too that the Humax website is no longer showing downloads of "software release" (or indeed of the manual) for the HDR Fox-T2.
Well, both my programmes on BBC4 HD were recorded properly, but although I was using auto-padding the repeat of Byzantium 2 doesn't have the padding (I haven't watched it yet, but the length is reported as 60 min rather than 71 min); the other programme (Hidden Killers), earlier that evening...
I had the same reply from Digital UK, but I haven't emailed Humax because when I have emailed them in the past I have never received a reply. :(
Will try to record two programmes from BBC4 HD tonight; one is the repeat of Byzantium 2 which it failed to record first time round - but last...
I used auto-padding with both the original failed recordings and the later successful ones (also Crystal Palace). I wonder if this is a red herring because if it was relevant it would affect recordings on other channels too, such as BBC2 HD, where there has not been a problem. I think it's...
Mine seems to have recovered spontaneously too: I was able to record Frozen Planet and Borgen from BBC4 HD last night. I'd be interested to know the reason for the initial glitch though.
If Wallace's recording from Winter Hill worked and mine from Crystal Palace didn't, that suggests the problem is indeed region-specific.
I just checked and found that BBC2 HD timer-records properly, as it did before the retune.
Further experimentation shows that *instant* recording of BBC4...
I have the same problem. After retuning, the new channels (BBC 4 HD, BBC News HD and Al Jazeera HD; haven't tried BBC3 HD) display the live programme normally with the Humax HDR Fox T2 but BBC 4 HD failed to timer-record Hidden Killers or Byzantium last night (showing recording failed and less...
