All data for the channel.db has been sourced from a HUMAX 7100T - The Australian version of the HDR-fox T2.
The new channels (SBS VICELAND HD - & ABC HD) are both MPEG4 - can the HDR-FOX T2 support MPEG4?
Putting the revised channel.db to one side it would be good to...
Hi,
I'm seeking some assistance on an issue I'm experiencing with applying a modified channel.db.
I have a HDR-fox-t2 running the latest modified software - with a 4tb internal disk.
I have for several years been running this unit in Australia ( using the German setup) and more recently...
I had the above issue when I connected a 4tb external drive yesterday. Searching on the forum I found this comment. It would be appreciated if you would update ntfs-3g. package.
Regards
I would be vey interested in trying a custom update on my 7500t - it would be nice to run at least some of the tools available for the HDR-FOX-T2.
Regards
I read and reread this thread and this morning I had a go at updating the channel db as discussed. It took me exactly 30 minutes to populate an empty channel db. I used information I obtained from my 75o0T.
I applied the updated channel db via the hidden menu. A reboot, and yes, I had all 35...
I have just moved from Perth, Australia to Regional Victoria. I installed my HDR-FOX-T2 to discover that as mentioned above the Germany settings which worked fine in Perth no longer works due to local transmissions now being UHF.
Any assistance in modifying the priming database to allow 7 MHz...
I have had some recent scheduled recording failures which have the error message "Recording Failed: Unable to track programme". I'm currently using 1.02.32 (not modified) but have also had the problem on the same recorder with 1.03.12. (modified). Instant record works fine.
I have...
I read this thread with great interest as I was seeking information on using a 4TB USB disk with my HDR-FOX T2.
Using a WD MyBook 4TB USB drive, I formatted using EaseUS Partition Master - with options MBR EXT3.
Connecting to the HDR-FOX T2 , the disk was loaded with the full 4TB as free...
ICE EPG is an alternative for "unofficial" Freeview products. I believe there is a set of criteria that products have to meet - any variance and Freeview stamp of approval is not given. I expect the largest provider of Freeview boxes in Australia is FOXTEL - the SKY equivalent.
ICE EPG is...
Well done, I knew you would get there in the end.
In my original post I said "Humax units working, with a few minor irritations with the EPG" These irritations still exist and are as you detailed. Not sure how you would address this. It was one of the drivers for getting the 7500T - but that...

Will check tomorrow details tomorrow and advise. Yes, it did take a few attempts to get it right.
I use ICE on the 7500T and can't say I'm overwhelmed. The broadcasters seem less attentive in getting the schedules up to date and even the ICE 15 minute schedule updates don't help - so you...
Hi Beachsurfhead
Hope you are enjoying the current extreme weather conditions.
I have two HDR-T2 and a HD-T2 receiving all of the channels including SBS. This became possible after the recent digital upgrades. I'm based in Perth.
The process is quite simple but fragile as you have...
What a difference a day makes!
I got up this morning energised to resolve this issue, having laid in bed working out where I might have gone wrong.
Before reading your response - I formatted the 500GB drive ( your assumption was correct) before loading the CF. I then loaded CF2.15 and...

Perhaps what I have been calling the WebIF is in fact is the initial web page - allowing you to download the CF packages. I don't get this when typing the IP address. This should not require a usb drive.
I have a portable 500mb disk ready to go. This was going to be used if necessary when I had connected to the WebIF - but as I can't connect to the WebIF it seemed pointless connecting it ( using a USB if used the wireless dongle ).
So, when I reboot after applying the mod firmware - I should...
I believe I have followed the instructions as detailed. My expectation was that on completion of loading Mod 2.15 and rebooting with an internet connection I should be able to connect to the Web-If without having a usb disk attached. It is through this interface I can configure and if necessary...
I'm not using any usb drive on this unit.
The only usb device in the unit during booting is the Wifi.
I have tried booting with Ethernet instead with the same result.
Thanks for response
