Trev, forgotten as far as I am concerned - issue resolved. However, the notes state : "Custom Firmware version 2.13 onward has a built-in option called Return to Manufacturer (RMA) mode to allow for complete removal of custom firmware components from the internal hard disk. From the Web...
Black Hole, once again many thanks for your time and responses. In the end, I noted your last reply (after much messing around) ... the actual problem that I encountered with failure to load the stock version was because of my USB drives. Despite using 2 different ones, I eventually resorted to...
Black Hole, many thanks for the reply - appreciated.
As far as I am aware, I have done exactly as detailed. I ran the RMA from the Web rather than Telnet if that would make any difference?
In my mind, if the 'true' firmware on the USB is the same as that on the box itself, then (if I had...
Good evening. I have 2 HDR-Fox-T2's which I intend to sell (keeping the 'main' one - forever!) and have removed the custom firmware prior to advertising. However, on bootup they still display CW version x.xx on the LCD panel - any ideas how to remove? It already has the lastest 'true' firmware...
Ok, so there is still an issue with this then I guess? Usually, there are things to record (scheduled) just not recently. I'll probably leave in place and set up a 'dummy' as it is useful to have (under normal circumstances!).
Right, Friday night and my turn to go to the pub for once :-), time...
...this appears to be if there is only one scheduled recording event (from my tests) - i.e. just Disable OTA. I'm sure that I can remember this from the dim and distant past, but can't remember the resolution! Any thoughts?
Many thanks.
Version. 1.03.12 with CF 3.03.
Thanks BH - thought everyone had gone to bed early lol. Well above that level now, so hopefully someone will be able to confirm if it's coming back - read as much as I could before submitting, but couldn't find anything definitive. Got the cam working, but would have been really good to have it...
Hi, good evening. Just wanted to check if the Foscam (just got one today) is still meant to work with the Portal (...if so which one!!). When I select via the Apps I get a blue world in the top corner of the screen but that's it. No rush :bye:
Many thanks,
Rob.
I know the anorak feeling - and I've now finished the wine lol.
I'll continue to monitor and update as I (if) find anything further; thanks for coming back.
Cheers, I did go to channel 1 and test there but it was still the same. Perhaps, as suggested above, it may be a HDD error, but after acknowledging the latest packages (and the reboot!!) all seems Ok again.
Appreciate you coming back to me. ... back to the film now :-)
Hi, just came to pause a film on Channel 30 and couldn't - tried the kitchen Hummy and Ok. Same on others channels that I tried; it would appear to be that I had acknowledged the latest notifications on the kitchen box, but not the lounge (it could be just a coincidence, as I also rebooted the...
Hi BH, thank you for the reply. Somewhat more convoluted that I was hoping for (bring back the old ICL VM days!!), but, in the absence of anything slightly more straightforward, I may well put some thought in to that one and see what I can do. Cheers.
Thanks Ezra (and prpr), I have the package installed and can turn it off remotely, but I thought I'd just make it a bit more 'fun' if I could! Could use it for the wife too lol. Oh well :-)
Cheers, Rob.
Evening all,
hardly a question of huge importance (more fun than anything), but is there a way to message another Hummy (from the laptop if necessary) to display an onscreen message (something like "go to sleep" to my 7 year old :-) )?
Many thanks.
