But it was rather long. I saved it. Cleared it. Ran debugtv again. And tried to reboot from the WebIf. I lost the web page...

      Thanks Black Hole, The Disk Diagnostics show the temperature to be 54 degrees. I have set the fan to always be at a minimum of 30%. But I still don't see why the unit will not close down. I have read about the states the unit might be in but AFAIK the unit is not attempting any process. It just...

When pre-installing the dependencies you mentioned and then installing auto-unprotect you do not get the "done" file. Eh? However...

      Thanks guys, Was able to connect a laptop by cable. FTP'd in and then foxy'd the hmts which did (as af123 siad) reset them. I can now try downloading the recordings again (which have the benefot of also being unencrypted at first pass. :)
