Thanks for your advice I'll give it a try. VRD is a quick easy to use utility but it is still not perfect. I wonder why VLC and the Hummy differ in the way they are handling the mp4, maybe the header info holds the answer as you suggest.
Using VideoRedo Plus V4 to convert decrypted HD files from .ts to .mp4 (H264) results in an mp4 file which plays fine on a PC using VLC player but when played back on the Humax either over the LAN or via USB has an audio sync delay. Setting the Humax lip sync to 180mS corrects this but then...
I'm receiving from Sudbury which uses channels 41,44,47,56,58 & 60. I don't think think there are any plans to change this until 5G is given the go ahead.
I'm not suggesting that the signal level indication has much validity. I only mentioned it because it was different from all my other equipment. The main issue here is why the signal is not being passed through when it should be.
I've just found exactly the same behaviour on the HDR FOX2 I've just bought. On standby, channels up to 47 are passed through ok but channels 56 and above are not. I tried reducing the signal level input in case there was some strange intermodulation going on but it made no difference. I've had...
