I've edited the channel list and accidentally deleted one I wanted. I there no way to get this back without a complete retune, with all the hassle that creates?
The sync problem is on playback on my 1100s, too, but you can’t copy recordings to a PC and then play them via a media player, which would be useful. The 1100s was not my wisest choice, nor was staying with Freesat.
I was just about to. Thank you. A bit Mickey Mouse, the 1100s.
Do you know if the Freeview boxes have the same problems? If not, it might be worth forking out for a new box and doing a bit of rewiring to the roof aerial.
I use subtitles on films a lot, especially since I struggle to understand most USA actors, but after buying an 1100S the out-of-sync problem seems to be there on most films. Sadly there isn't much choice with Freesat or I wouldn't have bought a Humax machine.
Did you ever hear any more about this AD problem? I’ve just replaced my FoxSat with an 1100s and some, but not all, recordings made on the FoxSat, then copied to my PC, play back on the 1100S with the Audio Description. The AD button makes no difference. When played back directly on the PC...
Thanks for all your help on this, guys, but I've poked around the technical stuff (Telnet? Nowster? opkg?) and got completely lost, so I'll run with what I've got.
It was only ever a problem in that it no longer works the way it used to, and that now I have to edit the settings myself. It's not the end of the world, but I can't see why it should have changed and I'd like to know why.
I haven't tried other BBC 1 variations; I only use the four SouthEast...
I should have made it clear this is a fairly recent problem and I can think of no changes I had made to set up, firmware, etc. that might conceivably have caused it. I've rather assumed it was a creation of the freesat broadcasters.
In standby mode when unused.
In UK.
Have tried reset.
CF 4.1.3, but not, as far as I know, Nowsters patch (?) - I will now look for this.
Problems with both ways of setting recordings.
For some months I have noticed that some programmes won't record when selected on the EPG. For example, Film 4 recordings are scheduled for 3:14 19/1/2038. To get round it I set it to record the programme on Film 4+1 (Ch 301), then I manually edit the channel number and time. Ch 101 does the...
A couple of channels appear on my Freesat EPG when I switch it on, even though I had previously deleted them the day before. Does anyone know why? At present, the offending channels are Kix & Kix + 1, but sometimes other channels are a nuisance, usually in the 800 - 899 range.
I have just used the Custom Firmware to mark over 130 channels as 'Hidden'. Many of these channels were not new, but ones I had previously excluded in the same way. These channels, in the ranges 400-, 500-, 600-, 700-, 800- and 900- all appeared this afternoon when I switched on. Yesterday...
Fair comment, Black Hole. It may be only certain channels that are affected, in which case I could put up with using the PC to manipulate those few programmes. If it's completely random, and since this used not to occur at all, it may be that I should consider a replacement STB.
So far it...
