Your encouragement to network has cost me dearly.
The ethernet switch and cables are all installed and the NAS Drive comes tomorrow.
I've just noticed that an additional light has appeared on the switch and on investigation find the FoxSat recording.
Does anyone know what the internet activity...
Went for the cable in the end.
Now I can have components where I want them rather than dependent on the cables lengths I have at the moment!
Thanks for clearing up the wiring af!
Thanks again everybody!
Thanks Trev!
I usually use the T568B pattern.
I believe the Tx and Rx are pins 4 and 5, Blue and Blue/White.

I have tried this but my AirPort Extreme (in bridge mode)...
Many thanks for that information Graham!
I'm reluctant to tinker with the firmware as we only watch programmes we've recorded and you will understand that any loss would be punishable by death...
May I ask another question?
Is it possible to transfer programmes from the foxsat-hdr to the...
Hi! And thanks for a most interesting site!
I've read lots on here, specifically regarding the ability to start watching a recorded programme on one recorder, then completing it on another machine in a different room.
I have an HDR1000s and a FOXSAT-HDR.
However, if it would simplify things, I...
