I have two HDR-Fox T2. One experiences blocking on HD recordings at times. This seems to be to do with CPU processing/temperature (stab in the dark: are the tuners getting too hot?) Running the fan at Max reduces the occurances of blocking. Setting unencrypt and processing to "not whilst...

I haven't - there is a slight trace of dust on the blades, but the fan and the inside of the machine are very clean. I am tempted to put some oil on the bearings to see if that helps.
I haven't checked the HDD temperature but I will do. Thanks for the temp figures - I still have the original Seagate drive in the machine and I will report back on how the fan mod goes.
I am posting this in case anyone else comes across the same problem.
Symptom:
Picture break up that starts and deteriorates after the box has been on for an hour or so.
High temperature (almost too hot to touch) by the RF connectors on the back of the box and the metal backplate surrounding...
Wanted to pass on my thanks to all the developers. What you have created is very easy to install and adds great value to an already decent piece of kit. Maybe Humax should give you some paid work to create its next flagship model.
