I have a "spare" HD-Fox T2 on which I would like to try out Custom Cirmware v3.12.
Will it install and work with a HD-Fox T2 (not HDR) and attached 1TB USB drive?
Sainsburys are now selling Vinyl and my local Oxfam shop offers LPs at staggering prices - as much as £100 for a copy of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper!
I am amazed that people have the means to play these things - perhaps they just frame them?
FLAC takes up less than half the space that WAV does and WAV doesn't support tags. MP3 at 320 kBits/sec is about a quarter the size of WAV.
However, you are right that the typical man-in-the-street listening on earbuds connected to a mobile phone is most unlikely to be able to tell the...
I dare say that that is quite true. However, I just happen to have an HD-Fox T2 and a BluRay player in place and space is at something of a premium.
To be honest, my real interest was just curiosity about how widely adopted the superior "Free Lossless Audio Codec" (FLAC) compression method was...
I assume that the HD-Fox T2 can playback MP3s stored on a USB memory stick but can it play "FLAC" files?
If not, is this facility available in any of the "Hacked" firmware versions?
Yup, I realise that. What I wondered was whether this was a known piece of custom firmware and if so, what it did that the latest Humax firmware doesn't do - e.g. access to and the ability to record from iPlayer, 4OD, etc.?
As to the USB memory stick, I just wanted to confirm that the record...
I am trying to get the Humax to record on a 32GB USB memory stick.
It is currently formatted as FAT-32 with no files.
When I put it in the Humax it is recognised and reported as having 29.8GB.
I don't appear to be able to record on it.
I suspect that I need to format it on the HUMAX but I can't...
Oh . . . OK, thanks for that.
I wonder if I have overwritten something useful?
The box seems to be working OK with firmware version 1.03.02. I haven't tried YouTube or an HDD yet.
I have had an error message appear that reads "F2.20" appear when powering on a newly acquired (via GumTree) HD-Fox T2. Does anyone have any idea what this message means?
I upgraded the firmware to version 1.03.02 and it hasn't reappeared since but I just wondered if anyone had seen it before.
"Currently due to the changes at BBC regarding the support on various versions of iPlayer the HD-FOX T2 does not have a version that is still supported. This is currently under review on our side and we are awaiting confirmation and a schedule as to when we can upgrade iPlayer; this will also...
I guess you mean
Thanks. Sadly this doesn't really clear things up for me much. What is "the portal-xtra1 custom firmware package". where can I find it, how do I install it and does it break anything?
Sorry to be so dense, I am not ungrateful, I would just like to be able to use my HD-FOX T2 to...
I have two Humax HD-FOX T2s. Having worked perfectly with BBC iPlayer for years, when I try to access it now they both return the message "Sorry we do not support your device".
The software version is KZTFT 1.02.29, Loader version L7.27, Update date 05-Jul-2012.
This REALLY upsets me (and my...
