Hi Black Hole, most subs can be extracted as files witout OCR (e.g. in your typical mkv, mp4, m4v formats...etc) but I think DVB-Subtitles in the form that Freeview provides them can only be done this way (is it something to do with being a bitmap?). Of course, I could be wrong....happens a lot...
