Necroposting I know, but I just found a similar problem - but for all recordings - occurs when you switch off CONTENT SHARE in Settings -> System -> Internet Setting. Keep only a few episodes of a regularly recorded/airing show?
This is super useful, can I just make sure I've Set this up correctly? This should title the recording as I want. And then the Sweeper rule to delete it when it's nearly a day old, ready for the next one. I'm sure it'll just be more blundering Boris type news but I do like to stay in the...- zekepliskin

Hi all, Haven't posted here in a while but have always found this place to be an invaluable, excellent resource. Anyway, my old TiVo years ago had a feature where you could choose to only keep up to a set maximum of recorded episodes in order to save space and not have hundreds of episodes of...- zekepliskin

Oh yeah it is tennis season proper soon isn't it. Although unless Wimbledon has closing roof features on every single court other than main and 2nd (I think? been a while since I checked) if it's anything like Queens it'll be bloody RAIN STOPPED PLAY every other day.- zekepliskin

Hey as an on-topic side note, are these constant changes the result of bandwidth space being reallocated for use on 5G mobile networks? They'd be a lot more annoying if there wasn't a package to automatically sort out what moved where I must say.- zekepliskin

Quickest way to download files (FileZilla vs USB stick vs Ethernet cable) from a HDR-Fox-T2 box
Yes I use this method almost exclusively for moving files on and off the HDR Fox T2s in the household. To my surprise, using a gigabit switch and connected to a PC with a gigabit LAN I regularly get close to peak 100Mb/s when copying to the Humaxes - that's 12.5MB/s. Hehe at least you get BBC NEWS HD. I'm on the Midhurst transmitter which doesn't carry it. When I set up a customised HDR Fox T2 for my parents and did a retune for their place which is covered by Rowridge and saw double the amount of HD channels I was a little miffed.- zekepliskin

'Sidecar' plug-in for the HDR/HD Fox T2
Here's a quick question about importing non-native content and having sidecar build the support files. Is it worth setting TSmuxerGUI to "Always rebuild SEI and VUI data" or not bother? HDR Fox T2 keeps restoring recording schedule even when it's cleared.
Yeah that's what I figured. I reset the box in question and reinstalled all the packages and after rebooting it seems fine now. I think best practice after swapping drives where a HDR Fox T2 was running CF is to reset and rebuild to avoid any issues cropping up especially if the box is running...- zekepliskin

Yep, that's about as far as I got with my reading, that and firmware downgrading just wasn't possible. My parents machine has a failed remote replaced with a third party one, is slow/inconsistent to boot and from what I can tell without being able to do a SMART test, a hard drive that won't...- zekepliskin

Agreed. With my current temporary setup of three HDR Fox T2s and the main TV all coming from one aerial feed I get very few signal issues even on the third box in the chain or the TV which is last - no apparent degradation and all the HDRs seem to report Signal Strength 100% and Signal Quality...- zekepliskin

Hmmm. This thread is an interesting read. The best way I found to avoid pixellation in recordings (especially as one of my HDR Fox T2s gets a lot of use at once, so it might be recording 2 HD programmes while I'm also using sidecar to generate a new NTS file for imported content not recorded...- zekepliskin

Well let's put it this way :- Humax A had Drive A (this was my original one). This was not the noisy drive. It originally reported no acoustic management present. Humax B had Drive B (the noisy one).
